Neben dem eigentlichen Set aus zwei Lautsprechern und Verstärker gibt es noch einen umfangreichen Kabelbeipack: 10 m Lautsprecherkabel, 2 x Verbindungskabel 3,5 mm Klinke zu Cinch, 4 x Verbindungskabel Cinch. Man bekommt das Gefühl, zum Set sollte ursprünglich auch noch ein Mischpult gehören, zur Verwendung dieser ganzen Kabel. * * * * * Design Während PA-Boxen auf mich eigentlich immer den Charme eines schmuddeligen Partyraumes im Keller eines Jugendzentrums verströmen, wirken diese hier ziemlich schick in ihrem hellen Grau (bzw. irgendeiner dunklen Version von Weiß). Ich stellte sie mir sofort in einem Loft oder einer schicken Boutique vor. Dabei sind die Boxen zwar robust aber keine Schwergewichte und lassen sich mit ihren Griffen auch gut beide auf einmal tragen. Das Anschlussfeld bietet mit seiner Vielfalt (Speakon, Klinke, Schraubklemme, Bananenstecker) professionelle Möglichkeiten. Der Verstärker spiegelt die Anschlussvielfalt der Lautsprecher wider (hinzu kommen noch Klinken- und Cincheingänge), passt sich auch farblich an, leuchtet dabei kühl in Blau. Zusatzbeleuchtung gibt es durch die Peakanzeigen. Zwei getrennte Lautstärkereglerscheiben, flach in der Front eingelassen, machen einem schnell klar, dass sie nicht zur allgemeinen Lautstärkeregelung gedacht sind. Sie sind zwar gerastert, aber wer will schon immer Rasterstufen zählen? Das Mischpult wird also irgendwie zur Pflicht. * * * * * Betrieb Da der separat verpackte Verstärker vom freundlichen Paketdienst erst einmal auf eine Deutschlandreise geschickt wurde, hatte ich zunächst die Lautsprecher. Also wurden diese an die normale Stereoanlage angeschlossen, wo sonst Hecoboxen an einem Onkyo-Verstärker ihren Dienst tun. Ich war doch ziemlich geplättet: Die Boxen spielten druckvoll und dynamisch auf, satt im Bass und klar in den Höhen. Sicher nicht so ausgewogen wie die Heco, aber irgendwie spaßiger. Fast bereute ich die Investition in Standboxen. Als dann auch irgendwann der Verstärker eintraf, durfte das Set in seiner eigentlichen Zusammenstellung spielen. Mit seinem Gebläse macht der Verstärker sofort klar, dass er nicht fürs Wohnzimmer gedacht ist. Von seiner Leistung her ist er gut in der Lage, die Boxen auszulasten; bei der Lautstärke und der Dynamik gibt es nix zu meckern. Es folgt ein Aber: Der Verstärker ist ziemlich weit davon entfernt, als "audiophil" durchzugehen. Manche Frequenzbereiche mag er nicht und reproduziert unsauber, da knistert es schon mal. Jetzt frage mich bitte keiner, warum ich auf einer "Party-PA" ein Klavierkonzert abspiele - ich habe es nun mal getan. Und da ist der Spaß dann doch sehr eingeschränkt, im Gegensatz zu Pop und Rock. * * * * * Fazit Als robuste Party-Anlage kann ich das Set empfehlen. Und Chic verstrahlt sie auch. Musiker, die eine kleine Anlage für Konzerte suchen, sollten überprüfen, ob der Verstärker mit "ihrem Sound" kompatibel ist.

I immediately pictured her in a loft or a chic boutique. The boxes are robust but not heavyweights and with their handles you can easily carry both at once. With its diversity (Speakon, jack, screw terminal, banana plug), the connection panel offers professional possibilities. The amplifier reflects the variety of connections of the loudspeakers (there are also jack and cinch inputs), also adapts in color, glowing cool in blue. Additional lighting is provided by the peak displays. Two separate volume control discs, embedded flat in the front, quickly make it clear that they are not intended for general volume control. They may be gridded, but who wants to count grid steps? So the mixer somehow becomes mandatory. * * * * * Operation Since the separately packaged amplifier was first sent on a trip to Germany by the friendly parcel service, I had the speakers first. So these were connected to the normal stereo system, where Hecoboxes usually do their job on an Onkyo amplifier. I was pretty flattened: the speakers played powerfully and dynamically, rich in the bass and clear in the treble. Certainly not as balanced as the Heco, but somehow more fun. I almost regretted investing in floorstanding speakers. When the amplifier arrived at some point, the set was allowed to play in its actual composition. With its fan, the amplifier makes it immediately clear that it is not intended for the living room. In terms of performance, he is well able to use the boxes; there is nothing to complain about in terms of volume and dynamics. Here's a but: the amp is pretty far from being "audiophile". He doesn't like some frequency ranges and reproduces them uncleanly, which sometimes crackles. Now please don't ask me why I'm playing a piano concerto on a "party PA" - I just did it. And then the fun is very limited, in contrast to pop and rock. * * * * * Conclusion I can recommend the set as a robust party system. And she exudes chic too. Musicians looking for a small system for concerts should check whether the amplifier is compatible with "their sound".
