The Electronic-Star CSS2 is an articulated endoscope camera that explores areas that are difficult to see or cannot be seen.
To do this, the camera is connected at a plug-and-play level to a Windows PC - typically a laptop, which provides both the power source and the imaging and recording of the event using the included Amcap software.
The gooseneck camera works with a high-quality CMOS image sensor, which always puts the scene in the right light - i.e. in an easily interpretable light - thanks to smart automatic image technology. If the lighting conditions are very poor or there is complete darkness, LED lights can be switched on continuously using the handle. Thanks to the IP66 standardised housing, the camera easily holds its own against splashing water and incoming dirt and dust particles.
With a gooseneck measuring 60 centimetres long and the 2 metre long USB cable, the Electronic-Star CSS2 provides sufficient flexibility to adequately document even deep, winding areas.
The recording is made in AVI format or - for snapshots - as a JPEG file, so that the image material can be further processed with other software. It can be viewed by other people with other computer platforms without any problems and without any further work steps.
The gooseneck camera arrives at its workplace in a protective transport case that organises and holds the equipment together. A special feature of the camera are the two included attachments (hook and magnet), which can be used to move and remove small objects.
The functionality of the Electronic-Star CSS2 makes the camera interesting for many commercial DIY and hobby tasks - for example for plumbers and electricians or even car mechanics/mechatronics engineers.
Please note that the device is powered by USB power and can therefore only be used in conjunction with a computer.

L'oggetto è più solido di quanto sembra dalla foto e funziona perfettamente, con un'ottima definizione. Attenzione però tiene il fuoco (fisso) solo entro pochi centimetri (6>1) dall'oggetto, quindi non è adatta ad ispezioni ambientali che richiedono il fuoco infinito.Funziona anche su Linux (testato su Debian e Ubuntu) senza la necessità di installare nulla. Come software uso cheese, ma qualunque software in grado di gestire una webcam andrà bene.
The object is more solid than it appears from the photo and works perfectly, with excellent definition. Attention, however, it keeps focus (fixed) only within a few centimeters (6>1) from the object, therefore it is not suitable for environmental inspections that require infinite focus. It also works on Linux (tested on Debian and Ubuntu) without the need to install Nothing. I use cheese as software, but any software that can handle a webcam will do.
