Nach dem mir meine Kumpels immer wieder von ihren tollen Soundsystemen erzählten, musste ich ja als Mann zwangsläufig nachziehen und ging wie wir eben so sind auf die Suche. Zugegeben, der Preis hatte mich erst abgeschreckt, so billig kann die Geschichte ja keinen ordentlichen klang bringen, aber... Satter Bass, klare Höhe Töne und eine wirklich wertige Optik. Sie sehen einfach top aus und liefern zudem noch ab! Kaufen und genießen. Höre sehr gerne Jazz und auch klassische Musik - Metall geht im übrigen auch sauber ins Ohr

After my buddies kept telling me about their great sound systems, I, as a man, had to follow suit and, as we are, went on a search. Admittedly, the price had put me off at first, the story can't produce a decent sound that cheap, but... Rich bass, clear treble tones and a really high-quality look. Für den Preis bekommt man glaube ich nicht viel besseres... Saubere Arbeit! Jetzt hoffe ich nur die Langlebigkeit ist genauso wie der Rest des Produktes, dann habt ihr alles richtig gemacht!

Super schöne Standboxen mit einem tollen Klang an dem auch teuere Boxen schwer rankommen. Verpackung und Versand top. Ich kann die Boxen sowie den Versender uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Die NUMAN Octavox 701 MKII dient bei mir als Ersatz für in die Jahrzehnte gekommene T+A Criterion 160 TMR MKII, ein Klassiker mit hohem Gewicht, hohem Volumen (aka "Kindersarg"), Spitzenbewertungen (Stereoplay u.a.) und seinerzeit hohem Preis (rd. DM 6100,00). Meine erste Bewertung der neuen NUMAN: Verpackung: Kaum besser möglich, doppelte Kartonage, gute Schaumstoffpolster, Stoffhülle etc. Steht die Verpackung aber einmal im Regen, fehlt ein Nässeschutz. Die Lautsprecher: Optik sehr ansprechend, Anschlüsse top und dann der erste Klangtest: Aaaaaah - hervorragend! Gute Auflösung, klare Höhen, stimmige Mitten und Bass wie er sein soll, so tief wie das Gehör reicht und mit absolut ausreichenden Wumms. Meine neuen NUMAN werden von dem jetzigen Raum (ca. 24m²) in einen größeren (ca. 35m²) umziehen, dann werde ich wieder berichten. Bis dahin aber: Ganz Klare Kaufempfehlung! Update: So, die ersten Tests mit meinen persönlichen "Referenz-CDs" (Pink Floyd- Dark Side of the Moon; Yello - One Second; Tschaikowsky 1812 - Erich Kunzel, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra) überzeugen mich. Der direkte Vergleich mit meinen T+A ist nicht mehr fair, weil diese ja nicht mehr ok sind (Sicken teilweise defekt), aber ich bin mir sicher, dass die NUMAN mit meinen alten Spitzenboxen insgesamt mithalten kann, nur im Bassbereich kann sie gegen die zwei riesen 260mm-Tieftöner nicht wirklich ankommen. Das Preis- Leistungs- Verhältnis lässt aber die NUMAN dann als ganz klaren Sieger dastehen!

For me, the NUMAN Octavox 701 MKII serves as a replacement for the T+A Criterion 160 TMR MKII, which is a decade old, a classic with a high weight, high volume (aka "children's coffin"), top ratings (stereo play, etc.) and a high price at the time (approx. DM 6100.00). My first assessment of the new NUMAN: Packaging: Could hardly be better, double cardboard, good foam padding, fabric cover, etc. But if the packaging is out in the rain, there is no moisture protection. The speakers: optics very appealing, connections top and then the first sound test: Aaaaaah - excellent! Good resolution, clear highs, harmonious mids and bass as it should be, as deep as you can hear and with absolutely sufficient boom. My new NUMAN will move from the current room (approx. 24m²) to a larger one (approx. 35m²), then I will report back. Until then, however: Very clear purchase recommendation! Update: So, the first tests with my personal "reference CDs" (Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon; Yello - One Second; Tchaikovsky 1812 - Erich Kunzel, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra) convince me. The direct comparison with my T+A is no longer fair, because these are no longer ok (beads are partially defective), but I am sure that the NUMAN can keep up with my old top speakers overall, only in the bass range can they compete with the two huge 260mm woofers don't really make it. But the price-performance ratio makes the NUMAN stand out as the clear winner!

Super Lautsprecher, ich habe noch nie so eine professionelle Verpackung erlebt! Der Klang und die Optik der Lautsprecher sind besser als erwartet, obwohl ich sagen muss, dass meine Erwartungen schon durch die Rezensionen sehr hoch waren!

Super speakers, I have never experienced such professional packaging! The sound and the look of the speakers are better than expected, although I have to say that my expectations were very high just from the reviews!

1. Versand Nach der Bestellung an einem Montag hatte ich gehofft, die Lautsprecher bereits zum Wochenende einweihen zu können. In der heutigen Zeit dachte ich mir, wird das schon kein Problem sein. Für Electronic Star wohl leider schon. Man antwortete mir auf meine freundliche Bitte lediglich mit einer nichtssagenden Standardemail und lieferte die Lautsprecher am Montag nach dem erhofften Wochenende. Der Service von Electronic Star ist also definitiv ausbaufähig. 2. Verpackung Die Lautsprecher waren sehr sicher doppelt verpackt. Da gibt es nichts zu meckern. Ich würde sogar behaupten, dass da einige noch von lernen können. 3. Verarbeitung Ohne eine kleine Kritik komme ich leider um die ansonsten sehr sehr gut verarbeiteten Lautsprecher nicht aus. Hier und da sieht man leichte Fehler an der holzfarbenen Folie. Die sind aber so gering, dass sie nicht weiter auffallen. Eine perfekte Verarbeitung ist wahrscheinlich bei diesem Preis auch nicht möglich. Die Hoch- Mittel und Tieftöner dagegen sind allesamt top verbaut. Und das ist ja auch das wichtigste. 4. Klangqualität Es hat mich überrascht, wie gut sie klingen. Vor allem, wenn man den Preis bedenkt nicht selbstverständlich. Während der Hochtöner klar und differenziert alles wieder gibt, was er so vorgesetzt bekommt runden der Mittel- und die beiden Tieftöner den Klang ausgezeichnet ab. Während der Mitteltöner eventuell noch ein bisschen kraftvoller spielen könnte, beeindrucken die Tieftöner mit einem erstaunlichen Tiefgang. Einen Sub haben wir so nicht mehr nötig. 5. Fazit Die Octavox haben einen satten, toll differenzierten Klang, der sich lediglich eine zu vernachlässigende, kleine Schwäche im Mitteltonbereich leistet, ansonsten aber herausragend performt. Die Verarbeitungsqualität könnte etwas besser sein und der 'Service' (wenn man ihn denn so nennen kann) sowieso.

1. Shipping After ordering on a Monday, I had hoped to be able to inaugurate the loudspeakers by the weekend. Nowadays I thought to myself, that won't be a problem. For Electronic Star, unfortunately, yes. My friendly request was only answered with a meaningless standard email and the loudspeakers were delivered on the Monday after the hoped-for weekend. Electronic Star's service definitely has room for improvement. 2. Packaging The speakers were double boxed very securely. There is nothing to complain about. I would even say that some can still learn from it. 3. Processing Unfortunately, I cannot do without a small criticism of the otherwise very well processed loudspeakers. Here and there you can see slight flaws on the wood-colored foil. But they are so small that they are not noticeable. Perfect processing is probably not possible at this price either. The tweeters, mid-range drivers and woofers, on the other hand, are all top-notch. And that's the most important thing. 4. Sound quality I was surprised at how good they sound. Not a matter of course, especially when you consider the price. While the tweeter reproduces everything that is put in front of it clearly and differentiated, the midrange and the two woofers round off the sound excellently. While the mid-range driver could possibly play a bit more powerfully, the woofers impress with an astonishing depth. We no longer need a sub. 5. Conclusion The Octavox have a full, well-differentiated sound, which only has a negligible, small weakness in the mid-range, but otherwise performs outstandingly. The processing quality could be a little better and the 'service' (if you can call it that) anyway.

Habe lange mit mir gerungen, ob ich es wagen soll diese Boxen ohne die Möglichkeit einer Hörprobe zu bestellen und bin froh es getan zu haben. Die Lautsprecher sehen sehr edel aus und sind echt schwer. Die Verpackung war perfekt. Leider habe ich trotzdem eine kleinen Makel: An einer Box sind die oberen beiden Halter für das Cover nicht rund sondern sehen verbeult aus. Das gibt Abzug in der B-Note. Hoffe man kann diese tauschen. Anfrage an Lieferant ist raus... Der Klang ist sehr gut! Da kann man nicht meckern. Sehr schön linear. Keine Dellen im Frequenzbereich. Kann die Boxen wirklich nur weiterempfehlen.

I struggled with myself for a long time whether I should dare to order these boxes without the possibility of a hearing test and I'm glad I did. The speakers look very classy and are really heavy. The packaging was perfect. Unfortunately, I still have a small flaw: On one box, the two upper holders for the cover are not round but look dented. That deducts the B grade. Hope you can swap these. Inquiry to supplier is out... The sound is very good! You cant complain. Very nice linear. No dents in the frequency range. Can really only recommend the boxes.

Ich habe die Lautsprecher zusy meinem bestehenden Yamaha Dolby Surround Systeme gekauft um die kleinen auszutauschen. Was soll ich sagen? Der Sound ist überwältigend! Mittlerweile habe ich sogar dazu entschlossen den Center Lautsprecher von Numan zu kaufen und von 5.1 auf 3.0 umzustellen. Die Gründe dafür sind folgende: Subwoofer brauche ich nicht mehr da diese hier genug "Bums" haben und die Surround Lautsprecher mache ich weg weil ich die nicht vernünftig im Raum unterbringen kann(wegen Umstellung der Möbel). Fazit: Sehr zufrieden, würde ich jederzeit wieder kaufen. Den Verlust von dem 5.1 Sound kann ich verschmerzen. Vor allem was Musik hören angeht ist es einfach nur super.

I bought the speakers in addition to my existing Yamaha Dolby Surround systems to replace the small ones. What can I say? The sound is overwhelming! In the meantime, I've even decided to buy the Numan center speaker and switch from 5.1 to 3.0. The reasons for this are as follows: I no longer need a subwoofer because these have enough "boom" and I'm removing the surround speakers because I can't accommodate them properly in the room (because of moving the furniture). Conclusion: Very satisfied, I would buy again at any time. I can get over the loss of the 5.1 sound. Especially when it comes to listening to music, it's just great.

Die Lautsprecher haben einen sehr schönen differenzierten und dennoch kräftigen Klang. Die Optik und auch die Verarbeitung lassen keine Wünsche offen. Ich persönlich finde sie richtig gut und werde sie auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Auf Grund ihrer baulichen Größe und Tiefe sollte man allerdings genügend Platz zum aufstellen vorsehen bzw zur Verfügung haben.

The speakers have a very nice differentiated and yet powerful sound. The optics and the processing leave nothing to be desired. I personally think they are really good and will definitely recommend them. Due to their structural size and depth, however, you should provide or have enough space available to set them up.

Diese Lautsprecher habe ich als Ersatz für die zwei kleinen Frontlautsprecher des "Ambience" Surroundsystems gekauft,da die Musik trotz mehrerer Einstellungsversuchen am Receiver absolut unterirdisch klang.Die Bässe kamen trotz Subwoofer nicht gut rüber,es klang alles künstlich.Beim Fernsehen einwandfrei.Nach etwas Magendrücken,ob die Musik wirklich besser klingt(die Lautsprecher sind ja nicht ganz billig) kann ich sagen,dass ich voll zufrieden bin.Sehr gut finde ich auch die Möglichkeit des Bi-Wiring oder Bi-Amping.Dadurch kann man bei kleinen Räumen auf die Surroundlautsprecher verzichten. Wer gerne und viel Musik hört,sollte auf kleine Frontlautsprecher verzichten und sich gleich große kaufen.

I bought these speakers as a replacement for the two small front speakers of the "Ambience" surround system, because the music sounded absolutely underground despite several attempts to adjust the receiver. Despite the subwoofer, the bass didn't come across well, everything sounded artificial Gastric pressure, whether the music really sounds better (the speakers aren't exactly cheap), I can say that I'm completely satisfied. I also think the option of bi-wiring or bi-amping is very good do without the surround speakers. Anyone who likes to listen to a lot of music should do without small front speakers and buy the same big ones.

Super Boxen! Super klang! Einfache Montage! Super Verpackung! Achtung die Lautsprecher sind schwer und groß. Musste sie in der Poststation abholen, da ich bei Lieferung nicht zu Hause war. Sie passen nicht in jeden Kofferraum. Selbst alte Platten hören sich gut an.

Great boxes! Great sound! Easy construction! Great packaging! Attention, the speakers are heavy and large. Had to pick it up at the post office as I wasn't home when it was delivered. They don't fit in every trunk. Even old records sound good.

Bin begeistert von der Verpackung. Total sicher eingepackt. Die Lieferung mit DHL lief wie immer sehr gut. OK, die Boxen sind schwer, doch hat man sie erst einmal Aufgestellt und angeschlossen wird man belohnt und zwar vom Feinsten. Der Klang ist super, im hohen, mittleren und tiefen Bereich einfach unübertroffen und das bei diesem Preis. Dabei stehen die Boxen aus Platzmangel nicht einmal optimal. Ich habe sie an einem Denon Vollverstärker mit 4 Ohm und 2x 100 Watt Ausgangsleistung angeschlossen. Also wenn es nach mir geht, sind sie eine volle Kaufempfehlung.

I'm delighted with the packaging. Packed totally safe. The delivery with DHL went very well as always. OK, the boxes are heavy, but once you've set them up and connected, you're rewarded with the finest. The sound is great, simply unsurpassed in the high, medium and low ranges and at this price. The boxes are not even optimal due to lack of space. I connected them to a Denon integrated amplifier with 4 ohms and 2x 100 watts output power. So if it's up to me, they're a full buy recommendation.

Die Boxen wurden sehr gut verpackt und schnell geliefert. Der Aufbau ging schnell, ebenso der Anschluss. Die Boxen sind sehr gut verarbeitet und sehen schick aus. Klanglich finde ich sie sehr gut. In dieser Preisklasse wird man nur sehr schwer etwas besseres finden. Und eines sollte man beim Boxenkauf unbedingt beachten (genau wie beim Auto): " Hubraum" ist durch nichts zu ersetzen.

The boxes were packaged very well and shipped quickly. The setup went quickly, as did the connection. The boxes are very well made and look stylish. I find the sound very good. It's hard to find anything better in this price range. And one thing you should definitely keep in mind when buying a box (just like with a car): "displacement" is irreplaceable.

Hatte diese Boxen gegen Säulenboxen von Teufel mit Subwoover ausgetauscht. Jetzt ohne Subwoover. Muß sagen der Klang ist um Längen besser geworden. Die Basswiedergabe direkt über die Boxen ist viel besser. Und der Klang im allgemeinen ist mit diesen Boxen wirklich hervorragend. Für dieses Geld einfach super !!!

Had exchanged these boxes for Teufel column boxes with subwoofers. Now without a subwoofer. I have to say the sound has gotten much better. Bass reproduction directly through the speakers is much better. And the sound in general is really excellent with these boxes. For this money simply super !!!

Die Boxen geben einen wirklich guten Klang ab. Ich habe unter anderem Thrash und Death Metal ausprobiert und zusätzlich etwas Technoir. Man nimmt die Höhe und Tiefen ohne zusätzliches Rauschen wahr. Vergessen darf man nicht, dass jede einzelne Box echt groß ist und stabile 24 oder 26 kg wiegt. Das Geld sind die Lautsprecher auf jeden Fall wert.

The speakers give off a really good sound. I've tried thrash and death metal, among other things, plus some technoir. One perceives the highs and lows without additional noise. Don't forget that every single box is really big and weighs a solid 24 or 26 kg. The speakers are definitely worth the money.
