Octavox 702 MKII Shelf Speaker

Meine alten Boxen im Schlafzimmer fingen mit Verzerrungen an. Also mussten Neue her. Sie sind deutlich kleiner aber ihr Klang ist sauber und angenehm. Meine alten Ohren brauchen keine extremen Hightech - Geräte und so gefallen mit diese richtig guten Boxen sehr gut, weil sie nicht zu teuer sind aber dennoch einen prima Klang haben. Ich habe den Verstärker dann erstmal richtig aufgedreht - und auch bei > 90 Db gabe es keine Fehlklänge. Wenn diese Boxen auch so lange halten würden, wei die alten - das wäre richtig super ..

My old speakers in the bedroom started to distort. So I had to get new ones. They are much smaller but their sound is clean and pleasant. My old ears don't need extreme high-tech devices and so I really like these really good speakers because they aren't too expensive but still have a great sound. I then turned the amplifier up really high - and even at > 90 dB there were no false sounds. If these speakers lasted as long as the old ones - that would be really great.

Mir fehlen an diesen Boxen völlig die Höhen. Ich hatte vorher rel. einfache JVC-Boxen.... das war deutlich besser. Für mich ein Griff ins Klo

Ich hatte ein paar Jahre die Wavemaster Cube Mini am PC aber leider hat die Bluetooth Verbindung öfter mal Aussetzer. Und da ich mir gerade einen hochwertigen Kopfhörer gekauft hatte suchte ich eine PC Soundkarte mit genug Power für den Kopfhörer. Es wurde eine Sound Blaster X7, die auch einen eingebauten Verstärker für Boxen hat. Also eine gute Möglichkeit auch die Boxen zu wechseln. Von daher ist die Wahl auf diese passiven Boxen gefallen. Der Klang ist für den Preis meiner Meinung nach sehr gut. Gut, die neuen Boxen haben auch mehr als das dreifache Volumen der Cube Mini, von daher kein Wunder, dass mehr Bass rüber kommt. Die Mitten sind auch etwas stärker, was Stimmen in Hörbüchern und Videos hilft. Die Boxen selber sind sehr solide verarbeitet und machen einen wertigen Eindruck. Mit dem Frontgitter wirken sie dezent, ohne wirken sie etwas stylisher. Gut ist das Vorhandensein von Buchsen für Bananenstecker, die natürlich auch dazu genutzt werden können um die Lautsprecherkabel zu klemmen. Alles in allem eine runde Sache für 89€. Ich hoffe die Boxen bereiten mir lange Freude. Immerhin werden sie definitiv nie wegen Defekten in der Elektronik ausgewechselt. Allerdings könnte der Hersteller beim Verpackungsmaterial sparen. Irgendwie ist alles doppelt verpackt. Karton im Umkarton, dann kommen die dicken Schaumstoffpolster, die für den sicheren Transport sorgen, gefolgt von einer Plastiktüte um das Säckchen in dem sich die einzelnen Boxen befinden. Und natürlich das berühmte Paar Baumwollhandschuhe.

I had the Wavemaster Cube Mini on my PC for a few years, but unfortunately the Bluetooth connection often dropped out. And since I had just bought a high-quality pair of headphones, I was looking for a PC sound card with enough power for the headphones. I got a Sound Blaster X7, which also has a built-in amplifier for speakers. So it was a good option to change speakers. So I chose these passive speakers. In my opinion, the sound is very good for the price. Well, the new speakers also have more than three times the volume of the Cube Mini, so it's no wonder that more bass comes through. The mids are also a bit stronger, which helps voices in audio books and videos. The speakers themselves are very solidly made and make a high-quality impression. With the front grille they look subtle, without they look a bit more stylish. It's good that there are jacks for banana plugs, which can of course also be used to clamp the speaker cables. All in all, a great deal for €89. I hope I'll enjoy the speakers for a long time. After all, they will definitely never be replaced due to defects in the electronics. However, the manufacturer could save on packaging material. Somehow everything is double-packaged. Cardboard box in the outer box, then the thick foam padding that ensures safe transport, followed by a plastic bag around the bag in which the individual boxes are located. And of course the famous pair of cotton gloves.

Die Lautsprecher sind einfach super, der Klang fabelhaft - genau das Richtige für mein Wohnzimmer. Was mich allerdings sehr geärgert hat - gem. Amazon bei Bestellung montags erfolgt Anlieferung Freitag oder Samstag. Super! Bestätigung des Lieferanten: Lieferung Freitag oder Samstag. Super. Genau so wollte ich es haben. Was war? Mittwochs eine Karte im Briefkasten....leider nicht angetroffen... Zudem musste ich das Paket am anderen Ende des Stadtteils abholen - dabei ist ein DHL-Shop "um die Ecke".

The speakers are simply great, the sound is fabulous - just right for my living room. What really annoyed me, however, was that according to Amazon, if you order on a Monday, you will receive it on a Friday or Saturday. Great! Confirmation from the supplier: Delivery on a Friday or Saturday. Great. That's exactly how I wanted it. What happened? A card in the mailbox on Wednesday... unfortunately I didn't find it... I also had to pick up the package at the other end of the district - even though there is a DHL shop "around the corner".

2 Tage Lieferung! Habe diese Regalboxen als Ergänzung zu meinen Teufel Ultima 40 mk2 gekauft und 24 Std. zum Einspielen gegeben . Am Anfang dachte naja. Der Klang wurde immer besser sehr ausgewogen und nicht überzogen in allen Bereichen. Verarbeitung ist sehr gut bis gut. Klare Kaufempfehlung von mir!

At first I thought, well, the sound got better and better, very balanced and not exaggerated in any area. The workmanship is very good to good. I would definitely recommend buying them!

Die Verarbeitung der Lautsprecher ist, in meiner Meinung nach, gut bis sehr gut, besonders wenn man den Preis im Auge behält. Man bekommt für den Preis hier wuchtige (ca. 6KG die Box) Lautsprecher ohne offensichtliche Baumängel. Intern sind die Treiber auch alle gut verkabelt, die Crossover-Platine sieht vernünftig bestückt aus. Aber was sind Lautsprecher ohne gute Soundqualität? In diesem Bereich kann ich höchstens ein "Befriedigend" geben, Schulnote 3. Zum Soundprofil dieser Boxen, der Bass ist sehr stark pronunziert, die Mitten sind etwas unterdrückt und die Höhen kommen, ohne diese mit einem EQ um mindestens 4-5 dB zu erhöhen, kaum durch und haben wenig Präsenz. Als Referenz dazu ein Spektralverlauf. Ich hab zwar kein gutes Aufnahmeequipment, aber man hier deutlich erkennen den massiven Absturz der Frequenzen ab ca. 10kHz. Empfehlen kann ich diese Lautsprecher jedoch durchaus für Leute, die gerne eher Basslastige Musik mögen, weil der Bass dieser Boxen gut genug ist dass man für kleine bis mittlere Räume keinen Subwoofer benötigt. Außer man will unbedingt auch bis 20Hz runter.

In my opinion, the workmanship of the speakers is good to very good, especially when you keep an eye on the price. For the price, you get massive speakers (approx. 6 kg per speaker) with no obvious construction defects. Internally, the drivers are all well wired and the crossover board looks well equipped. But what are speakers without good sound quality? In this area, I can only give them a "satisfactory" rating, a grade of 3. As for the sound profile of these speakers, the bass is very pronounced, the mids are somewhat suppressed and the highs hardly come through and have little presence without increasing them by at least 4-5 dB with an EQ. For reference, here is a spectral curve. I don't have good recording equipment, but you can clearly see the massive drop in frequencies from around 10kHz. However, I can definitely recommend these speakers to people who like bass-heavy music, because the bass of these speakers is good enough that you don't need a subwoofer for small to medium-sized rooms. Unless you really want to go down to 20Hz.

Es sind formschöne Boxen mit einem ausgewogenen Sound. Kein übertriebener Frequenzumfang, sondern eine natürliche Wiedergabe bei Klassik- und Pop/Rock Musik. Die abgerundeten Gehäuseecken sind sicherlich Geschmackssache, haben aber den Vorteil, dass bei einem evt. Anstoß nichts sichtbar abplatzt. Die Boxen sind dennoch super verpackt und haben sich als Regallautsprecher schön in eine Wohnwand integriert. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist unschlagbar gut.

They are beautifully designed speakers with a balanced sound. No exaggerated frequency range, but a natural reproduction of classical and pop/rock music. The rounded corners of the housing are certainly a matter of taste, but have the advantage that nothing visibly chips off if you bump into them. The speakers are still very well packaged and have been integrated nicely into a wall unit as bookshelf speakers. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable.

Moin zusammen! Als Mann mit vielen Hobbys, angefangen bei Motorrädern über Autos bis zu Urlaubsfahrten und Halter von zwei kostspieligen Töchtern, bleibt für meine Vinylsammlung und dafür notwendige Technik erstmal nicht so wirklich viel Spielraum. Da ist man in der Regel für jeden Tipp tendenziell dankbar, aber aufgrund von Alter und Erfahrung auch skeptisch geworden. Ein Teufelskreis. 109,- Piepen für einen Satz Lautsprecher in HiFi-Qualität und sauberer Verarbeitung? Klingt erstmal nach Märchen- und Sagenwelt. Dank der Rückgabeoption bei Amazon ist das Risiko allerdings überschaubar. Also flugs bestellt und wie gewohnt steht der Karton 48 Stunden später unterm Carport. Schöne neue Zeit. Der erste Eindruck beim Anheben des Pakets: "Packen die bei Numan Walzblei als Transportsicherung in den Karton?" erwies sich nach dem Öffnen als falsch. Das Gewicht resultiert aus der Ware und nicht aus der Verpackung. Wer dazu tendiert den Wert seines Einkaufs über das Gewicht zu definieren braucht nicht weiterzulesen, Sie können blind zuschlagen. Nachdem ich meine 1972er Heco P5203 in den Ruhestand auf den Dachboden verfrachtete, machte ich mich daran die Lautsprecher mit dem mittlerweile 30 Jahre alten Yamaha AX-780 zu verbinden. Dabei fallen mir die recht ordentlichen Anschlussterminals angenehm auf. Beim Anschrauben der vergoldeten Anschlüsse ist mir allerdings einer der mitgelieferten weißen Handschuhe aufgerissen. Was aber wohl eher mit meinen ungepflegten Pranken als mit der Qualität der Anschlüsse zu tun hat, könnte ich mir vorstellen. Nachdem ich die Nadel des TEAC TN300 auf die aktuelle Scheibe von Gregory Porter abgesenkt habe und die ersten Töne von "Concorde" aus den Speakern dringen, dachte ich so bei mir: "Die spinnen doch bei Numan". Entweder ist bei denen Geld aus der Mode gekommen oder in der Controllingabteilung spinnt der Solartaschenrechner. Für 109,-€ inkl. Porto, wirklich vorbildlicher Verpackung und ein Paar weißer Handschuhe schöne Boxen abzuliefern die auch noch richtig klasse klingen. Hut ab! Nach einem Nachmittag querhören durch alle Bereiche der Populärmusik sind mir keine Defizite aufgefallen, ich bilde mir aber auch nicht ein über das Absolute Gehör zu verfügen. Ein Kumpel hat sich letztes Jahr ein paar B&W 702 S2 gekauft. Da muss ich im Vergleich dann allerdings sagen: "Ganz andere Nummer, was hab' ich doch einen *** zuhause". Fazit: Wer nicht über unendliche Finanzmittel verfügt oder auch noch andere Interessen bzw. Verpflichtungen hat, kann hier einen absolut tollen Schnapper machen. Um es mit Harald Schmidts Worten zu beenden: Kaufbefehl erteilt!

As a man with many hobbies, from motorcycles to cars to vacation trips and the owner of two expensive daughters, there isn't really much room for my vinyl collection and the technology required for it. As a rule, you tend to be grateful for any tips, but due to age and experience you also become skeptical. A vicious circle. 109 bucks for a set of speakers in HiFi quality and clean workmanship? Sounds like something out of a fairy tale. Thanks to the return option on Amazon, however, the risk is manageable. So I quickly ordered it and, as usual, the box was under the carport 48 hours later. Brave new times. The first impression when I lifted the package: "Do they put rolled lead in the box at Numan as a transport security?" turned out to be wrong after opening it. The weight is a result of the goods and not the packaging. If you tend to define the value of your purchase by weight, you don't need to read any further, you can buy it blindly. After I had put my 1972 Heco P5203 away in the attic for retirement, I set about connecting the speakers to the now 30-year-old Yamaha AX-780. I was pleasantly surprised by the fairly decent connection terminals. However, when I was screwing on the gold-plated connections, one of the white gloves that came with the product ripped open. But I imagine that this had more to do with my unkempt hands than with the quality of the connections. After I lowered the needle of the TEAC TN300 onto Gregory Porter's latest album and the first notes of "Concorde" came out of the speakers, I thought to myself: "They're crazy at Numan." Either money has gone out of fashion for them or the solar calculator in the controlling department is crazy. To deliver beautiful speakers that also sound really great for €109 including postage, really exemplary packaging and a pair of white gloves. Hats off! After an afternoon of listening to all areas of popular music, I didn't notice any shortcomings, but I don't pretend to have perfect pitch either. A friend bought a pair of B&W 702 S2s last year. In comparison, however, I have to say: "A completely different story, what a *** I have at home." Conclusion: If you don't have unlimited financial resources or other interests or obligations, you can get an absolutely great bargain here. To end with Harald Schmidt's words: purchase order issued!

Klasse Verarbeitung, gute Ausstattung.... Das Klangbild ist etwas basslastig, dieser ist allerdings klar und knackig.... Trotzdem 4 Stern wegen der fehlenden Höhen..... ...und eine klare Kaufempfehlung.

Für den Preis sind die Boxen okay, "high end" eher nicht. Sie haben einen etwas topfigen Charakter, woran auch die Klangregelung der Verstärkers nicht viel ändern kann. Trotzdem: für den Preis voll in Ordnung. Und verpackt ist alles bestens.

The speakers are OK for the price, but not really "high end". They have a somewhat muffled character, which the amplifier's tone control can't change much. Nevertheless: completely OK for the price. And everything is packaged very well.

Zwei "NUMAN Octavox 702 MKII" werden von einem "Marantz NR 1509" befeuert. Wohnzimmer mit knapp 18 m² - Wow, Power... die maximale Lautstärke habe ich auf 60% begrenzt. Sonst gibts Ärger mit den Nachbarn. Der Klang gefällt mir gut. TV-Wiedergabe kommt in gut verständlicher Sprache rüber. Die Tiefen habe ich am Receiver 2db heruntergesetzt - die Boxen etwas Basslastig, somit ist für mich (meine Raumgröße) ein Subwoofer nicht notwendig. Die Höhen habe ich 2db heraufgesetzt - das gleicht für mein Empfinden ein wenig fehlende Mitten aus (ich hätte vom Bauchgefühl gern die "NUMAN Retrospective 1978 MKII " genommen, wegen deren größerer Abmaße leider nicht möglich). Preis /Leistung: Wenn er mich fragt - ich würde die Boxen meinem besten Freund empfehlen.

Two "NUMAN Octavox 702 MKII" are powered by a "Marantz NR 1509". Living room of almost 18 m² - wow, power... I limited the maximum volume to 60%. Otherwise I'd get into trouble with the neighbors. I like the sound. TV playback comes through in easily understandable language. I turned the bass down 2db on the receiver - the speakers are a bit bass-heavy, so a subwoofer isn't necessary for me (my room size). I turned the treble up 2db - I feel that makes up for a lack of mids (I would have liked to go for the "NUMAN Retrospective 1978 MKII" based on my gut feeling, but unfortunately that's not possible due to its larger dimensions). Price/performance: If he asks me - I would recommend the speakers to my best friend.

+ Optik: Nach Abnahme der Frontbespannung sehen die Lautsprecherboxen wirklich wertig aus. Die Verarbeitung der Boxen, soweit von außen ersichtlich, erscheint mir sogar als "sehr gut". + Ich war aufgrund der Produktphotos zunächst nicht 100 % sicher, ob die Tieftöner mit "Foam" oder Gummisicken ausgestattet sind. Auch hier war ich nach dem Auspacken erleichtert: die 702 Mark II haben Gummi-Sicken, die ich in jahrzehntelanger Nutzung diverser Lautsprecher immer als deutlich langlebiger empfunden habe, als jene aus "Foam" (der sich irgendwann leider bei mir immer zersetzte als habe ein Säureangriff stattgefunden). - Handling: Etwas suboptimal empfand ich die 4 kleinen "Gummipropfen" zum Entkoppeln der Lautsprecherboxen zum Boden oder zum Regalstellplatz. Diese sind schwer bis gar nicht dauerhaft in Position zu halten bevor die Boxen abgestellt sind. Man muß recht geschickt vorgehen beim Platzieren der Boxen, damit nicht eine Sekunde vorher oder gar unmittelbar vor dem Absetzen am Untergrund sich einer der "Propfen" löst oder verdreht etc. Ist kein Drama, aber nicht so ganz durchdacht vom Hersteller. Vielleicht kann man es als "Feinmotorik-Trainings-Programm für Endkunden" ;-) rechtfertigen. Klang: Da tue ich mich etwas schwerer in der Bewertung denn man darf ja auch den recht niedrigen Preis nicht vergessen: - Der Hochtöner ist auffallend defensiv. Die Höhen (ich meine auch gewisse Mittenanteile) sind bei der 702 MK2 eher unterrepräsentiert. Ich verglich mit diversen Boxen bei mir Zuhause. Der fairste Vergleich war jener mit der Zweiweg Infinity Primus 150 die ehemals zu einem nicht allzu weit entfernt befindlichen Preis erhältlich war und von der Größe/Abmessungen des Gehäuse zwar etwas kleiner aber doch in Sachen Abmessungen recht dicht an der 702 MK2 liegt. Die Primus ist in Sachen Höhen und Mitten in meinen Ohren wesentlich ausgewogener bzw. repräsentiert diese besser. + Die 702 ist dafür in der Bass Wiedergabe recht dominant. Zwar etwas verwaschen aber für ihren Preis und ihre immer noch recht kompakte Größe im Bassbereich schon recht erstaunlich. Fazit: Ja, man kann und darf für 139 Euro keine Wunder erwarten. Obwohl in Sachen der Verarbeitung wirken die 702 äußerlich fulminant beeindruckend und durchaus dicht am Wunder. Der Sound ist für meine Ohren "passabel" bzw. "das investierte Geld wert". Nicht mehr, aber auch nicht weniger. Die 3 Sterne meiner Gesamtbewertung berücksichtigen - zugegeben - kaum die tolle Verarbeitungsqualität, weil für mich bei Lautsprechern der Klang das absolut wichtigste und stärkste gewichtete Kriterium ist bzw. sein sollte! Klanglich sind 3 Sterne für mich angemessen. Eine recht beeindruckende Basswiedergabe steht mir persönlich zu defensiven Höhen, wie erwähnt, gegenüber. Glücklicherweise haben meine Verstärker und Receiver eine regelbare Klangregelung. So kann ich durch deutliches bis massives Anheben von "Treble" den 702 auf die Sprünge helfen, egal an welchem System ich die Boxen letztlich betreiben werde. Das vorliegen entsprechender Klangregler zum individuellen Anpassen dieser Boxen an der heimischen Hifi-Anlage würde ich auch jedem potentiellen Käufer empfehlen, wobei Puristen die Verstärker ohne Klangregelung kaufen, wohl ohnehin keine Lautsprecherboxen für 139.- das Paar erwerben würden ;-) Für Hifi-Feinschmecker sind solche Speaker natürlich nichts. Können sie für 139.- auch nicht sein, wer das im Fieber erwartet(e), muß zum Arzt ;-). Randdetail: Ja, man kann einwenden, "aber dafür sind immerhin weiße Handschuhe dabei und weiße Überzüge für die Gehäuse, das sollte man in einem Review doch auch mal positiv erwähnen.". Aber mal ehrlich: sind Billig-Handschuhe und Überzüge deren Fertigungswert in Fernost irgendwo zwischen 2 oder 5 Cent liegen dürfte, wirklich Kriterium zur Bewertung von Lautsprechern? Wären die Höhen der Boxen besser abgestimmt worden, hätte ich auf derartige Gimmicks als Beilage gerne verzichtet und hätte 4 Sterne vergeben. So sind es eben nüchtern-sachlich: 3.

+ Appearance: After removing the front covering, the speakers look really high quality. The workmanship of the speakers, as far as can be seen from the outside, even seems "very good" to me. + Based on the product photos, I wasn't 100% sure at first whether the woofers were equipped with "foam" or rubber surrounds. Here, too, I was relieved after unpacking: the 702 Mark II have rubber surrounds, which I have always found to be significantly more durable in decades of using various speakers than those made of "foam" (which unfortunately always disintegrated at some point in my case as if an acid attack had taken place). - Handling: I found the 4 small "rubber plugs" for decoupling the speakers from the floor or shelf to be somewhat suboptimal. These are difficult or even impossible to keep in position permanently before the speakers are put down. You have to be very clever when placing the speakers so that one of the "plugs" doesn't come loose or twist a second before or even immediately before you put it down on the ground, etc. It's not a big deal, but the manufacturer hasn't really thought it through. Perhaps it can be justified as a "fine motor skills training program for end customers" ;-). Sound: I find it a little harder to rate this because you can't forget the relatively low price: - The tweeter is noticeably defensive. The highs (I mean certain mids) are rather underrepresented in the 702 MK2. I compared it with various speakers at home. The fairest comparison was with the two-way Infinity Primus 150, which was previously available at a not too far off price and, although a little smaller in terms of the size/dimensions of the housing, is still quite close to the 702 MK2 in terms of dimensions. In my ears, the Primus is much more balanced in terms of highs and mids, or represents them better. + The 702 is quite dominant in bass reproduction. Although a little washed out, for their price and their still quite compact size, the bass range is quite astonishing. Conclusion: Yes, you can't and shouldn't expect miracles for 139 euros. Although in terms of workmanship, the 702 looks brilliantly impressive on the outside and is certainly close to miracles. The sound is "passable" or "worth the money invested" to my ears. No more, but also no less. The 3 stars in my overall rating - admittedly - hardly take into account the great workmanship quality, because for me the sound is, or should be, the absolutely most important and most heavily weighted criterion for loudspeakers! In terms of sound, 3 stars are appropriate for me. As mentioned, I personally find the bass reproduction to be quite impressive compared to defensive highs. Fortunately, my amplifiers and receivers have adjustable tone controls. This means that I can give the 702 a boost by significantly or massively increasing the "treble", regardless of which system I end up using the speakers with. I would also recommend that any potential buyer have the appropriate tone controls for individually adjusting these speakers to their home hi-fi system, although purists buy the amplifiers without tone controls and probably wouldn't buy speakers for 139.- a pair anyway ;-) Such speakers are of course not for hi-fi connoisseurs. They can't be for 139.- either, anyone who expects that in a fever needs to see a doctor ;-). Side detail: Yes, you can object, "but at least there are white gloves and white covers for the housing, that should be mentioned positively in a review." But let's be honest: are cheap gloves and covers, which cost somewhere between 2 and 5 cents to manufacture in the Far East, really a criterion for evaluating speakers? If the speakers' treble had been better adjusted, I would have happily done without such gimmicks as an addition and would have given them 4 stars. Sober and objective: 3.

Ich fasse mich gaaanz kurz, auch wenn die Leute , die aktuell auf der Arbeit nichts besseres zutun haben etwas enttäuscht werden :) vorerst zu den Lautsprechern an sich selber: - Verpackung war echt etwas übertrieben, dafür aber sehr sicher! Sogar Handschuhe waren zum auspacken dabei :) - Klang ist sehr sauber und sehr definiert. Bässe sind Füllend und Präzise, die Mitten klingen angenehm und die hohen Töne sind gut ausbalanciert (von mir etwas runtergeregelt, passen somit perfekt in das gesamte Klangbild). - Verarbeitung ist super! Es sieht wirklich toll aus, habe nirgendwo irgendwelche Macken entdeckt! - Dei Lautsprecher sind Innen drin sogar etwas gedämmt! - Es wird eine Weiche verbaut. Ich habe damit bei diesem Preis echt nicht gerechnet!!! - Es werden 8 Gummipads zum reindrehen in die Gewindelöcher mitgeliefert, um einen guten Stand auf dem Tsich zu gewährleisteten - Es ist wichtig zu beachten, dass man zur Wand mindestens 30cm Abstand hat! Vorallem ist es kontraproduktiv solche Boxen in eine Ecke zu stellen. Bei bestimmten Frequenzen kommt nämlich das sogenannte "Dröhnen", was sehr unangenehm ist! Es liegt aber keineswegs an DIESEN Boxen, sondern an ALLEN Bassreflexboxen. Diese haben (meistens hinten) eine Bassrefelxöffnung, die Platz zum klingen braucht. Man kann dieses Loch stopfen, hat dadurch aber viel weniger Raumklang und Bass. Mit dem AV-Receiver "x250bt" von DENON war der Klang echt leblos und reduziert, was hohe und tiefe Frequenzen angeht. Ebenfalls war der Bass recht schwach. Es ist ein 5.1 Receiver, der anscheinend einen Aktivsubwoofer für einen Stereobetrieb braucht (Ich habe verdammt viele Einstellungen 2 Tage lang ausprobiert!). Ebenfalls war dieser Receiver nur für Lautsprecher von 6-8 Ohm zugelassen. Diese Boxen haben 4 Ohm, also war der Käufer (ich) etwas zu blöde. Mit dem alten Kenwood KA54 war der Klang auch nicht wirklich gut. Es Liegt aber am Verstärker. Zu viel an matschigem Bass und zu grelle mitten und kratzende Höhen. Ich schätze, hier sollte ich mal die Kondensatoren tauschen, die sind immerhin schon an die 40 Jahre alt?! Als ich dann den DENON 720AE angeschlossen habe, hat es mich von den Socken gehauen. Der Klang war sehr definiert und schön sauber!!! Der Bass war direkt und sehr füllend, es raubt einem das Atem bei schönen Bass-Woomern :) Habe sowas noch nie gehört, sehr zufrieden! Kling um Welten besser als mein billiges Surroundsystem. Kurz zum Set der Stereoanalge: - Versträrcker: DENON 720AE - Lautsprecher: NUMAN Octavox 702 MK II - Bluetooth Empfänger: Avantree Bluetooth 4.2 (mit aptX) - Handy: Huawei P20 Pro - MusikApp: PowerAmp (Deutlich klarer Klang meiner Meinung nach, als bei allen anderen Apps, die ich sonst so gefunden habe!) - Musik: 95% Metal/Rock, 5%- Alle anderen möglichen Genren - Habe den Equiliser ein kleines bisschen angepasst um für mich den besten Klang heraus zu holen. - Die Höhen sind am Verstärker etwas runtergedreht, da ich sehr empfindlich bezüglich der hohen Töne bin - Loudness ist aktiviert, so gefällt es mir besser. da ich zu 60% in einer "normalen" Lautstärke höre (nicht zu laut, nicht zu leise) P.S.: DENON 720AE hat hinten noch 3 Steckplätze für verschiedene 230V AC Geräte (Gedacht für den CD-Player und sonstigen Gedöns, den man noch anschließen mag) Maximal dürfen dort 100 Watt anliegen. Diese Steckdosen sind perfekt für meinen Bluetooth Empfänger gedacht! Ich habe jetzt sozusagen eine Bluetooth Stereoendstufe als Set in einem Gerät :) Ich hoffe, dass diese Rezension manchen Leuten helfen wird, vor allem bezüglich der Verstärkerwahl. :)

I'll keep it real brief, even if people who have nothing better to do at work will be a bit disappointed :) First of all, the speakers themselves: - The packaging was a bit over the top, but it was very safe! There were even gloves included for unpacking :) - The sound is very clean and very defined. The bass is full and precise, the mids sound pleasant and the high tones are well balanced (I turned them down a bit so they fit perfectly into the overall sound). - The workmanship is great! It looks really great, I haven't found any flaws anywhere! - The speakers are even slightly insulated on the inside! - There is a crossover built in. I really wasn't expecting that at this price!!! - There are 8 rubber pads supplied which you can screw into the threaded holes to ensure that the speaker stands well on the table - It is important to ensure that you keep a distance of at least 30cm from the wall! Above all, it is counterproductive to put speakers like this in a corner. At certain frequencies, the so-called "booming" occurs, which is very unpleasant! But it is not at all the fault of THESE speakers, but of ALL bass reflex speakers. These have a bass reflex opening (usually at the back) that needs space to sound. You can plug this hole, but this results in much less surround sound and bass. With the AV receiver "x250bt" from DENON, the sound was really lifeless and reduced in terms of high and low frequencies. The bass was also quite weak. It is a 5.1 receiver, which apparently needs an active subwoofer for stereo operation (I tried a hell of a lot of settings for 2 days!). This receiver was also only approved for speakers of 6-8 ohms. These speakers have 4 ohms, so the buyer (me) was a bit too stupid. With the old Kenwood KA54, the sound wasn't really good either. But it's the amplifier. Too much muddy bass and too harsh mids and scratchy highs. I guess I should replace the capacitors here, they are after all about 40 years old?! When I then connected the DENON 720AE, I was blown away. The sound was very defined and beautifully clean!!! The bass was direct and very full, it takes your breath away with nice bass woofers :) I've never heard anything like it, very satisfied! Sounds worlds better than my cheap surround system. A quick look at the stereo system set: - Amplifier: DENON 720AE - Speakers: NUMAN Octavox 702 MK II - Bluetooth receiver: Avantree Bluetooth 4.2 (with aptX) - Cell phone: Huawei P20 Pro - Music app: PowerAmp (Much clearer sound in my opinion than all the other apps I've found!) - Music: 95% metal/rock, 5% all other possible genres - I adjusted the equalizer a little bit to get the best sound for me. - The treble is turned down a bit on the amplifier, as I am very sensitive to high tones - Loudness is activated, I like it better that way, as I listen at a "normal" volume 60% of the time (not too loud, not too quiet) PS: DENON 720AE has 3 sockets at the back for various 230V AC devices (intended for the CD player and other stuff that you want to connect). A maximum of 100 watts can be applied there. These sockets are perfect for my Bluetooth receiver! I now have a Bluetooth stereo power amplifier as a set in one device :) I hope that this review will help some people, especially when it comes to choosing an amplifier. :)
