AMP-5100 HiFi Receiver

Il sintoamplificare Auna-AMP 5100 B è un ottimo amplificatore surround entry-level. Il cabinet (43 cm rack) ha il frontale in metallo spazzolato nero con due display. Il primo indica la sorgente (es: VCD, DVD, AUX) e ha quattro bande di equalizzazione DSP. Il secondo, più grande, ha due indicatori con aghi ""vintage"" che ricordano i vecchi VU-meter e che si illuminano di blu durante la riproduzione salendo insieme ai decibel. Entrambi i display hanno 4 modi di funzionamento (ad esempio sul primo si può scegliere se visualizzare la sorgente oppure il modo DSP).   I cinque canali più uno disponibili sono quelli utilizzati dalla maggioranza dagli utenti dei sistemi home theater. Buona la potenza: 100 watt RMS sui due canali frontali e 40 watt RMS su quelli posteriori sono sufficienti per sonorizzare un locale di dimensioni medio/grandi.  La qualità dell'audio è buona ma non per audiofili. Si tratta comunque di un modello entry-level che costa meno di un terzo dei concorrenti. Rimane naturalmente un amplificatore economico, non paragonabile a mostri che costano svariate centinaia di euro. Tra le funzioni ci sono le simulazioni DSP (chiesa, rock, disco, teatro, hall, stadio), la radio FM, il karaoke. La radio è a modulazione di frequenza FM con RDS e 39 stazioni memorizzabili (sia in modo manuale che con scansione automatica). Il tasto menu sul frontale consente di agire su treble, bass, balance, centrale, surround right e surround left come mostro in una delle foto.  Attenzione: l'Auna-AMP 5100 B non ha ingressi digitali. Non c'è il coassiale, non c'è il Toslink. Come si vede in una delle foto che pubblico, ha ingressi RCA per DVD e VCD (stereo) e ingresso AC-3 (dolby analogico). Quindi può solo ricevere un 5.1 già decodificato dalla sorgente (sui 6 cavi RCA che si collegano all'input AC-3) oppure un segnale stereo (2 cavi RCA su DVD o VCD) per poi ricreare il 5.1 e inviarlo ai diffusori. In pratica: per avere un vero surround 5.1 dovete avere una sorgente (per esempio un lettore DVD o blueray) con 6 uscite RCA. Ha inoltre un ingresso frontale AUX tipo jack 3.5 mm e due ingressi frontali 6.3 mm per microfono. Non è presente l'usuale manopola del volume, sostituita da due tasti: ""vol+"" e ""vol-"". E' invece presente l'output RCA singolo per un subwoofer attivo.  Il tasto DSP sul sintoamplificatore seleziona il tipo di equalizzazione in modo sequenziale (chur, rock, disco, simul, ther, hall, stad, dsp off ). Per accedere a un modo direttamente è necessario usare il telecomando che ha un tasto per ogni sorgente. Lo stesso per selezionare il tipo di display (da 1 a 4).  L'utilizzo è semplice e intuitivo, ma per chi non ha alcuna esperienza può rivelarsi problematico perché l'amplificatore arriva praticamente senza istruzioni. Il libretto (in inglese e tedesco) è molto scarno: 5 pagine in tedesco e 5 pagine in inglese.  Il rapporto qualità/prezzo è sorprendente. Ideale dunque per chi pur avendo un budget molto basso non vuole rinunciare all'emozione del cinema in surround. Non lo consiglio a puristi dell'audio e a chi vuole sfruttare le uscite digitali della propria sorgente. 

The Auna-AMP 5100 B receiver is an excellent entry-level surround amplifier. The cabinet (43 cm rack) has a black brushed metal front with two displays. The first indicates the source (e.g. VCD, DVD, AUX) and has four bands of DSP equalization. The second, larger one, has two indicators with "vintage" needles that are reminiscent of old VU meters and which light up blue during playback, rising together with the decibels. Both displays have 4 operating modes (for example on the first you can choose whether to display the source or the DSP mode). The five channels plus one available are those used by the majority of home theater users. Good power: 100 watts RMS on the two front channels and 40 watts RMS on the rear ones are sufficient to provide sound to a medium/large sized room. The audio quality is good but not for audiophiles. However, it is an entry-level model that costs less than a third of its competitors. Naturally it remains a cheap amplifier, not comparable to monsters that cost several hundred euros. Among the functions are DSP simulations (church, rock, disco, theater, hall, stadium), FM radio, karaoke. The radio is FM frequency modulated with RDS and 39 storable stations (both manually and with automatic scanning). The menu button on the front allows you to act on treble, bass, balance, center, surround right and surround left as shown in one of the photos. Please note: the Auna-AMP 5100 B has no digital inputs. There is no coaxial, there is no Toslink. As you can see in one of the photos I post, it has RCA inputs for DVD and VCD (stereo) and AC-3 input (analog Dolby). So it can only receive a 5.1 already decoded from the source (on the 6 RCA cables that connect to the AC-3 input) or a stereo signal (2 RCA cables on DVD or VCD) and then recreate the 5.1 and send it to the speakers. In practice: to have true 5.1 surround you must have a source (for example a DVD or blueray player) with 6 RCA outputs. It also has a front 3.5 mm jack AUX input and two 6.3 mm front microphone inputs. The usual volume knob is not present, replaced by two buttons: ""vol+"" and ""vol-"". Instead, there is a single RCA output for an active subwoofer. The DSP button on the receiver selects the type of equalization sequentially (chur, rock, disco, simul, ther, hall, stad, dsp off). To access a mode directly you need to use the remote control which has a button for each source. The same to select the type of display (from 1 to 4). Use is simple and intuitive, but for those with no experience it can be problematic because the amplifier arrives practically without instructions. The booklet (in English and German) is very sparse: 5 pages in German and 5 pages in English. The quality/price ratio is surprising. Therefore ideal for those who, despite having a very low budget, do not want to give up the emotion of surround cinema. I don't recommend it to audio purists or anyone who wants to take advantage of the digital outputs of their source.

Ich habe mir den Verstärker zusammen mit 4 Malone PA-Passiv Boxen gekauft. Nachdem ich diesen das erste mal angeschlossen hatte und ich 5 min Musik abspielte, ist er kaputt gegangen. Ich hab mich an elektronik-star gewendet, welche mir einen neuen zu schickten. Dieser funktioniert bis heute seitdem einwandfrei. Für 110€ gute Qualität mit gutem Soud!

I bought the amplifier together with 4 Malone PA passive speakers. After I connected it for the first time and played music for 5 minutes, it broke. I contacted elektronik-star, who sent me a new one. It has worked perfectly since then. Good quality with good sound for 110€!

also mit der bedinungsanleitung ist wirklich so das es besser verstehen kann aber wenn ich über fernshen schauen möchte und mein resiver der die unter schiedlich laut stäke an gibt bei sender suchen das nervt echt aber musik Leistung keine Problem ich habe den verstäker am pc angeschlossen meine fensterscheiben Fliegen mit raus :-) also nur auf die hälfte da fliegen die Ohren auch mit weg :-) der preis ist nicht nur ok was das gerät kann ist schon preis verhältnis günstig

well the user manual is really so that it is easier to understand but when I want to watch on TV and my receiver gives the channels at different volume levels when searching for channels it is really annoying but music performance is no problem I have the amplifier connected to the PC my window panes fly out with it :-) well only half the size and my ears fly out too :-) the price is not only OK what the device can do is already good value for money

Der Preis ist OK - die ""Bedienungsanleitung"" verdient die Zeit nicht, das Wort aus zu sprechen.Das gilt für Gerät alsauch für die Fernbedienung. Es ist äußerst nervig, dass das Gerät grundsätzlich die Lautstärke bis 25 hochfährt. Nichts dagegen, dass das Werkseinstellung ist, WENN man es ändern könnte. Wer sich nicht einigermaßen mit Surround auskennt, der bekommt das Gerät OHNE VERNÜNFTIGE Bedienungsanleitung nicht befriedigend zum laufen. An anderer Stelle beklagte sich jemand, dass er grundsätzlich nur die Frontlautsprecher hört. Zunächst war das auch mein Eindruck, bis ich eher durch Zufall den Weg dahin fand. Ich konnte die Surroundlautsprecher bis 40 hochdrehen. Dann reichte mir es auch. Dasselbe gilt für den CENTER-Lautsprecher. Ein weiterer Minuspunkt bleibt (bis zur Klärung, dass es doch geht) daß das Subwoofer-Signal nicht am Gerät oder über Fernbedienung einstellbar ist. Das Klangergebnis des Subwoofer-Ausgangs ist aber formidabel, und schafft bei PR-Veranstaltungen locker, dass die Gläser anfangen zu klirren. Große Unterschiede der einzelnen Sound-Modi konnte ich noch nicht entdecken. Auch hatte ich noch nicht Gelegenheit, den 5.1-Eingang zu verwenden. Der AMP-5100 ist nicht wirklich Ersatz für meinen treuen Gefährten, der damals drei Mal so teuer war wie der AMP-5100, und jetzt nach 12 Jahren den Geist aufgab, Alles in Allem bin ICH zufrieden, auch, wenn ich einmal am Tag die Werte meiner Einstellung neu einstellen muss. Sollte ich aber im Lotto gewinnen, bin ich - als Rentner - der erste, der sich dann wieder einen Onkyo kaufen wird.

The price is OK - the "operating instructions" don't deserve the time to read. This applies to the device as well as the remote control. It is extremely annoying that the device always increases the volume to 25. Nothing against the fact that this is the factory setting, IF you could change it. If you don't know anything about surround, you won't be able to get the device to work satisfactorily WITHOUT A REASONABLE operating manual. Someone else complained that they basically only hear the front speakers. At first that was my impression too, until I found my way there by chance. I could turn the surround speakers up to 40. Then I had enough. The same goes for the CENTER speaker. Another negative point remains (until it is clarified that it is possible) that the subwoofer signal cannot be adjusted on the device or via the remote control. The sound of the subwoofer output is formidable, however, and easily makes glasses start to clink at PR events. I haven't been able to discover any major differences between the individual sound modes. I haven't had the opportunity to use the 5.1 input either. The AMP-5100 isn't really a replacement for my faithful companion, which was three times as expensive as the AMP-5100 at the time and has now given up the ghost after 12 years. All in all, I'm happy, even if I have to reset my settings once a day. But if I win the lottery, I'll be the first - as a pensioner - to buy another Onkyo.

Klang und Leistung ordentlich.Lüftergeräusch viel zu laut, Betrieb in Zimmerlautstärke sehr nervig !Einstellungen einzelner Lautsprecheransteuerungen gehen bei jedem Ausschalten verloren.Hauptlautstärkeeinstellung startet stets bei 25 (1/3 Output ca.) Daher immer stille Quelle vor Ausschalten wählen, sonst haut's nachts den Nachbarn aus dem Bett !!Gerät daher wirklich nicht als Heimkino zu empfehlen.Als PA-Verstärker mit nur zwei Hauptboxen im Partykeller jedoch gut.

Sound and performance are decent. Fan noise is much too loud, operation at room volume is very annoying! Settings for individual speaker controls are lost every time the device is switched off. Main volume setting always starts at 25 (1/3 output approx.) Therefore always select a quiet source before switching off, otherwise it will wake up the neighbors in the night! Device therefore really not recommended as a home cinema. However, it is good as a PA amplifier with only two main speakers in the party cellar.

Es el primer Home Cinema que poseo, la verdad es que nunca me habian gustado mucho y no he tenido la oportunidad de escucharlos. Hace 2 dias que lo he recibido y hoy lo he instalado y ""guau"" me ha dejado sorprendido. La calidad del sonido es buena y el sistema envolvente muy acertado, teniendo en cuenta que lo he probado con un reproductor de CD antiguo con salida de linia analogica, lo puse en 5.1 aunque no sea la entrada la más adecuada y como suena.Tengo que aclarar que lo quiero para escuchar musica principalmente desde distintas fuentes. Mas adelante lo probare en digital, pero de momento me ha convencido.Todo bien por parte de Electronic-star

It is the first Home Cinema that I have owned, the truth is that I have never liked them very much and I have not had the opportunity to listen to them. I received it 2 days ago and today I installed it and "wow" surprised me. The sound quality is good and the surround system is very successful, taking into account that I have tried it with an old CD player with analog line output, I put it in 5.1 even though it is not the most appropriate input and how it sounds. I have to Clarify that I want it to listen to music mainly from different sources. Later I will try it digitally, but for now it has convinced me. Everything good from Electronic-star

jak sony albo coś w tym stylu markowo znane, za reszte kasy kupiłem sobie kolumny AUNA z mocą 3000 Watt!

Ich habe für den Verstärker 99,60 ? exkl. gezahlt. Ich finde den Verstärker absolut in Ordnung. Er biete alle Anschlüsse und Funktionen die ich brauch und ist sogar besser als mein alter Verstärker, der teurer war. Ich muss nun endlich kein Mischpult dazwischen schalten, damit der Sound anständig rüberkommt. Die Bässe sind satt der klang sehr gut. (für meine bisherigen Boxen die der Marke angehören: Günstig, günstiger, billig)<br><br>Die Leistung (Sinus) des Verstärkers bezieht sich allein auf 4 Ohm Lautsprecher. 8-16Ohm soll wohl auch gehen.<br><br>Ich bin jedenfalls zufrieden. Eine passende schwarze Fernbedienung wäre auch nicht verkehrt gewesen.<br><br>Einziger Negativ punkt:<br>Der Lüfter hintem im Gehäuse ist sehr laut. Er übertönt sogar meinen Rechner der 5 Lüfter drin hat.

I paid 99.60 € excl. for the amplifier. I think the amplifier is absolutely fine. It offers all the connections and functions that I need and is even better than my old amplifier, which was more expensive. I finally don't have to use a mixer to get the sound right. The bass is rich and the sound is very good. (for my previous speakers that belong to the brand: cheap, cheaper, cheaper)

The power (sine) of the amplifier refers only to 4 ohm speakers. 8-16 ohms should also work.

Anyway, I'm happy with it. A matching black remote control wouldn't have been a bad idea either.

Only negative point:
The fan at the back of the case is very loud. It even drowns out my computer, which has 5 fans.
