van Damme Drink Mixer

Der Mixer macht auf den ersten Blick mit dem schlanken Design und dem schönen Rot auf jeden Fall etwas her. Das Gehäuse ist aus Plastik, macht aber einen sehr soliden und stabilen Eindruck. Das Gleichgewicht hält der Mixer mit und ohne gefülltem  Becher gleich gut. Er wackelt nicht und wandert auch nicht, wenn er in Betrieb ist – soweit so gut.  Die Verarbeitung ist, wie ich es mittlerweile von Klarstein gewohnt bin, top. Die Kanten sind sauber gearbeitet und Steckelemente schließen gut aneinander an. Auch die Lackierung ist wie immer super und die Schalter lassen sich leicht betätigen.  Für mich ist dieser Mixer der erste seiner Art. Entsprechend neugierig aber auch skeptisch war ich am Anfang. Aber gerade zum Anfang der Sommerzeit kam er genau passend – denn ich liebe kalte Shakes, wenn es so heiß ist. Also habe ich mir gleich mal einen Schokoshake gegönnt. Diesen habe ich einfach aus Schokoladeneis und Kakao gemacht. Natürlich kann man beides auch einfach in ein Glas geben und etwas umrühren – warum das aber nicht so toll ist wie mit einem Mixer, verrate ich gleich.  Die Bedienung ist ganz einfach. Man gibt die Shakezutaten in den zum Zubehör gehörenden Metallbecher – man sollte allerdings darauf achten, die Maßanzeige nicht zu überschreiten, sonst kann es gegebenenfalls eine Sauerei geben. Dann klemmt man den Becher an die Halterung am Hals des Mixers und kontrolliert, dass er fest sitzt. Das tut er in der Regel, ich hatte da bisher keinerlei Probleme. Wer einen anderen Becher benutzen will, kann das auch tun. Zwar ist die Halterung, in die der Becker kommt, gleichzeitig der 'Knopf' der dem Mixer sagt, dass der Becher richtig sitzt und gemixt werden kann, allerdings gehört zum Zubehör eine Plastikklemme, die man in den Haken schieben kann. Somit kann man auch höhere Becher benutzen oder was auch immer. Nimmt man einen anderen Becher, der aber eine ähnliche Größe wie der Originale hat, empfehle ich den Becher während dem Mixen etwas hochzuhalten, da der Mixstab sonst nicht ganz im Becher ist und es wieder eine Gefahr für eine Sauerei ist.  Ist der Becher in der richtigen Position, schaltet man den Mixer an. Hier kann man zwischen Stufe 1 und 2 wählen, wobei empfohlen wird, immer mit Stufe 1 anzufangen und dann auf Stufe 2 zu wechseln. Der Mixer ist natürlich nicht leise, aber es ist eben ein Mixer, das sollte klar sein. Ich würde auch nicht behaupten, dass der Mixer lauter ist als andere – ich finde es vollkommen okay.  Wie lange man mixt, kommt natürlich auf den Shake, die Zutaten und den eigenen Geschmack an. Meinen Schokoladenshake habe ich etwa 1 Minute lang auf der niedrigen Stufe gemixt, dann noch mal eine Halbe, auf der zweiten Stufe. So war alles gut vermixt – und der Vorteil gegenüber dem normalen Verrühren: Es wird herrlich cremig! Der Shake hatte eine schöne Schaumkrone und war darunter zart flüssig und ohne Eisklumpen. Einfach perfekt, da machen sich die max. 22000 Umdrehungen pro Minute deutlich bemerkbar! Wenn man den Becher aus der Klemme herausnehmen will, sollte man ihn kurz etwas nach oben drücken und dann nach unten ziehen. Das gelang mir bisher immer ohne Probleme und auch ohne Ruckeln, sodass selbst ein sehr aufgeschäumter Becher der dann letztendlich voll ist, nicht überschwappt. Den Mixarm kann man dann auch etwas ankippen, sodass man den Becher einfacherer hervorziehen kann und nichts auskippt.  Die Reinigung klappt hier auch sehr gut, da es kaum Furchen und Ecken gibt. Der Becher ist aufgrund seines Materials sowieso sehr einfach zu reinigen. Einfach etwas warmes Wasser, Spüli, kurz den Schwamm benutzen, ausspülen und das wars. Den Mixkopf und den Stab wische ich immer einfach mit einem feuchten Lappen und etwas Spülmittel ab. Das ist eine Sache von 10 Sekunden. Ansonsten musste ich bisher nichts reinigen, da beim Mixen alles schön im Becher blieb.  Insgesamt habe ich den Barmixer wirklich sehr ins Herz geschlossen, da er warme Tage versüßt. Er ist auch nicht nur für Milchshakes

The mixer is definitely impressive at first glance with its slim design and beautiful red. The housing is made of plastic, but makes a very solid and stable impression. The mixer keeps its balance equally well with and without a full cup. It doesn't wobble or move when it is in use - so far so good. The workmanship is top-notch, as I have come to expect from Klarstein. The edges are cleanly worked and plug-in elements fit together well. The paintwork is also great as always and the switches are easy to operate. For me, this mixer is the first of its kind. I was accordingly curious but also skeptical at the beginning. But it came just in time for the start of summer - because I love cold shakes when it's so hot. So I treated myself to a chocolate shake. I simply made this one from chocolate ice cream and cocoa. Of course, you can also just put both in a glass and stir a little - but I'll tell you in a moment why that's not as great as using a mixer. It's very easy to use. You put the shake ingredients in the metal cup that comes with the accessories - but you should be careful not to exceed the measurement indicator, otherwise you could end up making a mess. Then you clamp the cup onto the holder on the neck of the blender and check that it is firmly in place. It usually does, I have had no problems so far. If you want to use a different cup, you can do that too. The holder that the shaker goes into is also the 'button' that tells the blender that the cup is in the right place and can be mixed, but the accessories come with a plastic clamp that you can push into the hook. This means you can also use higher cups or whatever. If you use a different cup that is a similar size to the original, I recommend holding the cup up a little while you mix, otherwise the blender rod will not be fully in the cup and there is a risk of a mess again. Once the cup is in the right position, switch the blender on. Here you can choose between levels 1 and 2, although it is recommended that you always start with level 1 and then switch to level 2. The mixer is of course not quiet, but it is a mixer, that should be clear. I would also not say that the mixer is louder than others - I think it's perfectly fine. How long you mix depends of course on the shake, the ingredients and your own taste. I mixed my chocolate shake for about 1 minute on the low level, then another half on the second level. This way everything was well mixed - and the advantage over normal mixing: It is wonderfully creamy! The shake had a beautiful head of foam and was delicately runny underneath with no lumps of ice. Simply perfect - the max. 22,000 revolutions per minute are clearly noticeable! If you want to take the cup out of the clamp, you should briefly press it up a little and then pull it down. I have always managed to do this without any problems and without any jolting, so that even a very frothed cup that is eventually full does not spill over. The mixing arm can also be tilted slightly so that the cup can be pulled out more easily and nothing spills out. Cleaning is also very easy here, as there are hardly any grooves or corners. The cup is very easy to clean anyway due to its material. Just some warm water, dishwashing liquid, use the sponge briefly, rinse and that's it. I always just wipe the mixing head and the rod with a damp cloth and some dishwashing liquid. It takes 10 seconds. Otherwise I haven't had to clean anything so far, as everything stayed nicely in the cup when mixing. Overall, I really love the bar mixer, as it sweetens warm days. It's not just for milkshakes either
