+ Very hefty. + Sits comfortably on shoulders with moderate weight (10-20kg) + Easy to adjust weights. - Putting the vest on with 30kg weights is hard. Velcro tightening straps are stuck everywhere & are total mess. Using plastic clips would have been better I believe. - There should be more padding for traps. Now walking with heavy weights long distances might feel uncomfortable. Overall: very good weight vest and worth the money.

Price is good and the vest easy to adjust. But i had some issues (probably because i'm a small person) with the construction. The bands slipped during the workout. So i sewn some velco on it, to keep the bands in place. Now it does it's job perfectly. Plus some bungie bands, so the vest has a snug flit on my torso, but still allows breathing. But that was not much work at all. Now i'm absolutely satisfied with the training vest.

Smells really weird at first, but that goes away over time. Good and very variable to adapt to the training.

The vest has a high-quality finish, which is to be expected for the price. Weights can be reduced individually and do not interfere with training. What is missing for 5-star is a reasonable belt fastener, during demanding training the vest slips easily because the belt does not hold 100%.

The vest has no padding, which affects wearing comfort. As a result, jogging etc. are not really comfortable with it. However, apart from that, the weights can be used flexibly and according to the description, the bags are also robust. So if you are less sensitive to pressure points or wear padding underneath, this vest is really recommended.

Usually I don't write reviews but on this one could not resist how happy I am. Was first sceptic to order because of reviews people wrote about SMELL. Vest was sealed in film and is completely brand new! Vest has NO SMELL and absolutely well made and feels durable! Smells like new clothing from sport shop. This you can feel was manufactured recently. Quality 5*. Better then expected!

The vest was a great gift and has also been used extensively for weight training, but the vest does not do very well for cardio training such as jogging, as it then wobbles up and down. Depending on how much weight is on the vest, it will also be more uncomfortable, but in terms of price-performance it is still recommended!

First of all: it is not necessary to describe the wearing comfort as pleasant at 30 kg. But it fits, looks well made and robust and can be fixed easily and securely with the two Velcro straps. The weights can be removed by the kilo and very easily so it was worth buying the heavier vest. I can NOT confirm the problem with the smell. All in all, I am absolutely satisfied and I hope that no hidden weaknesses will reveal themselves in the course of further training sessions.

Very solid product from which you can remove any weight. There is no single plate processed at the front and back, which allows for an optimized training. At the same time, the vest is not stiff and fits better on the body. If you are not used to carrying 10, 20 or 30kg extra, you can load this vest with every single kilo and work your way up slowly and continuously. Very commendable. However, my random sample has shown (see picture) that the weights actually have a certain standard deviation from the kilogram weight. However, the actual total weight of the vest came to the ordered 30kg. Therefore, it is absolutely bearable and does not fall into my criticisms. If you want to make sure that you have your desired weight in the vest, you should have fun and write the measurements on each individual weight so that you can put together the most optimal one. The vest seems to be really well made. Even with a full load of 30 kg, the fabric does not make any questionable noises or small tearing noises, so that one assumes the load would be too much for the seams or the fabric. If you wear the vest, you have the option of using 2 Velcro straps for fixation and a secure fit. As far as I'm currently using it myself, these are closed in front of the vest, which presses it against the body. It holds up convincingly well when the belts are on. Jumping, running or the like won't let the vest slip. Just the way it should be. Personally, I could not perceive any negative or disturbing smells. Here, too, the vest convinces me. However, I would give minimal deductions when wearing comfort. I realize that this is a short interval exercise product and the design isn't based on maximum comfort. However, I would like to have more shoulder padding. I wore the vest on a 10km march through Saxon Switzerland with 20kg and had to say that the permanent pressure on the shoulder muscles was more of a problem than the weight. 30kg could become an ordeal, especially if you want to tackle walks beyond 20 or 25 km. As I said... I am aware that it is intended for short training sessions. But with a soft padding in the shoulder area and/or a hip belt, which transfers the weight even more harmoniously to the body, you would achieve a very cool wearing comfort. Nevertheless, I would currently give a rating of 4.8 out of 5, since my criticisms are probably not all that fair and should therefore only carry marginal weight. Deductions are made for missing shoulder padding/hip belt and the deviation of the masses, the individual weights, with the correct total weight. Therefore, I rate it as a top product, which I can absolutely recommend at the moment.

We bought the 30kg weight vest to intensify various body weight exercises (pull-ups, push-ups, squats). All exercises can be performed well with the vest. The processing is perfectly fine. The wearing comfort is also decent. We could not detect any dramatic inherent odor of the product. After a few days at the latest, there is no longer any smell at all. The variation of the weights works well and the 1kg steps allow the whole thing to be perfectly adapted to the respective exercises. The 30 kg variant has 2 Velcro straps to fix it. Depending on the exercise (pull-ups, squats), only the lower of the two is sufficient. The vest fits really well at a height of 1.8 m (72 kg). Smaller people can also wear them, although my wife (1.62 m / 48 kg) seems a bit generous. The following points are negative: 1. The Velcro fastener of the upper fixation strap rubs on the upper arm depending on the exercise. Here, either the skin or the T-shirt is "affected" during training. 2. The lower fixation strap sometimes slips under the vest during squats and push-ups, causing the weight to dangle and the exercise to be interrupted. An additional fix would be useful here. All in all, we give it a buy recommendation.

Hoffentlich geschieht dies in Zukunft!

First of all: Unfortunately, almost all tested vests have odors. In my opinion, the one from the CS vest was above average, but this may depend on the person. For the fact that there was a review of the smell here x years ago, the manufacturer has apparently not improved it so far. Hopefully this will happen in the future! Because otherwise the vest is good. I have now bought and tested 3 products in April 2021. Why, why three, why this: # Research Your own body weight is the most important tool for training without equipment. If this is no longer enough, increasing the weight makes sense (for strength training, not for cardio). A weight vest is the main element for this. There are several types of what ultimate weight really is. If you want it to be as heavy and as compact as possible, you can't avoid iron/metal, since sand, for example, isn't heavy enough per unit volume. According to my semi-extensive (possibly even more) research, the maximum you can get on Amazon at the moment is probably 30kg. There are only three products: Battlevest Xenios Homcom (I left out one product from ISE because (sand?) sacks are used here and changing the weights and the proximity should be bad; possibly too long in length) # Product test I bought all three and will now go into the similarities and differences: What they all have in common is the basic structure: They all look roughly similar (they each have 3 rows with 5 columns at the front and back, each with a nearly 1 kg be filled). See also the picture. Now for the differences: About components - weights - how much weighs and is even - cs: 990 g and fairly even - xenios: 980 g and partly with about 50g difference - homcom: 1012g and partly with about 50g difference - peeling off or how is the color on it, also general impression and smell - cs: very fine to the touch, no flaking, no odor, a few "stain drops" (see picture) - xenios: overall coarser shape but not rough, no flaking, hardly any smell ( a bit vinegary maybe) - homcom: rather coarser shape and rougher surface, color is most likely to come off here, even a slight metallic smell Weights Interim conclusion: 1.cs, 2. xenios, 3. homcom (basically in terms of content, probably not so for most relevant big differences - but I would see the homcom more clearly at the back because of the smell and the roughness, if it is stacked on top of each other etc.) - weights in connection with the vest - interchangeability (it's easy or rakes, for example :) - cs and xenios: both easy to change, weights slide well - homcom: also easy to change, only in comparison maybe a little less sliding because weights are rather rough - weights are safe and don't fall out - cs and xenios: both have a strong Velcro fastener ( xenios maybe even a touch stronger) and a certain load on a level and overhead wobbling is certain, nothing seems to come loose, holds - homcom: here the Velcro fastener is noticeably less strong in comparison, it is also noticeable that the Velcro parts are the lightest staggered would be better; nevertheless, nothing falls out here either. Weights in connection with the vest: 1. xenios and cs and 2. homcom (overall all ok, only homcom I would recommend because of roughness if it rubs in the pockets in the long run and in the event that the velcro fasteners become weaker over time) - vest - odor in the adjacent and front area This is an important point for me, because it is almost the only way for a layman to get indications for pollutants (even if you only use Some substances can be very dangerous if they come into contact with the skin, e.g. contact for half an hour with bicycle handlebars that contain a lot of PAH corresponds directly to a pollutant load of over a hundred cigarettes -> if you don't know it, google "Stiftung Warentest pak" if necessary; air out the smell test after a few days , so that evaporating solvents do not affect the odor test) - cs: from the inside after a few days there is hardly any smell at all; I think it's noticeable from the outside (a bit like flattening a ladybug), another smell tester didn't find the smell that strong and rather pleasant - xenios: a weak smell inside and outside, I don't find it that unpleasant ; but another smell tester found the smell here rather acrid - homcom: weaker inside than outside, imo halfway ok; another smell tester found the smell rather unpleasant Interim conclusion for smell: Well, somehow the assessments are different here. .......... - durability/quality - cs: good quality (no/hardly any loose seams and rubbed open) - xenios: also rather good quality (but a few seams and a bit rubbed open, cf. photo). Overall, I don't think this is a major problem due to the separate draw mechanism. - homcom: several loose seams, the material also seems rather thin and folds more Intermediate conclusion durability/quality: 1st cs, 2nd xenios, 3rd homcom - Slipability: adaptability and fit (also restricted movement, and tight-fitting: slipping up during movements or when doing push-ups over the shoulder; when doing push-ups, do not hang down or close to the body) - cs: fit with two fixed Velcro straps. This makes it very easy to use and the vest generally fits well. When doing push-ups, nothing hangs down (I had weights on every "level"). The vest also holds up well when you are upside down because it tends to retain its shape and the second closure at the top protects against riding up too high. The arm freedom is good, you can also do pull-ups. - xenios: Just a Velcro bandage with no fixed position. Here you have to make sure that the Velcro bandage is well attached. In connection with the fact that the vest also tends to keep its shape, when properly fitted, almost nothing hangs down during push-ups (in the middle the strap for fastening). With overhead (high push-ups for the shoulders), depending on how it is attached, it can slide upwards because there is no band at the top (and too high makes no sense for the existing band, because otherwise it tends to hang down). Pull-ups are also rather unfavorable here, because the rigid form at the top of the shoulders and arms is annoying (you press the structure on the shoulder into the neck; you can get around it with a little "folding over"). - homcom: Just a Velcro bandage more or less with a fixed position, but you have leeway. Basically, I have the feeling that the velcro fastener gives in rather slightly here, but maybe I just noticed the velcro noise under load. In any case, it hangs down more here with push-ups because it only has one band and the weaker form position. But from my point of view it works (if you change push-up grips, the effect may be reduced anyway). Slipping up is also rather unfavorable here, as with the xenios. On the other hand, the arms are free enough to be able to do pull-ups as well. Interim conclusion: the almost co-criterion for xenios for me is that arm lifts (for pull-ups) are more uncomfortable than with the other two (this is a relevant application in addition to push-ups with me; but it might work with flipping). I find the homcom slightly less favorable for people who are lying down and the Velcro fastener on the homcom also makes a less solid impression. CS scores best here simply because of the good velcro closures that tend to keep it in shape and because of the two straps (and not too rigid at the top of the shoulders). (Nevertheless, the shoulders could have been better padded somehow, which is sometimes almost nothing, see next point). - weight load: padding (and where does it press, approximately evenly?) - cs: shape-retaining and well padded, except directly on the shoulders - xenios: very shape-retaining and well padded everywhere - homcom: little shape-retaining and lightly padded (but everywhere) Interim conclusion weight load : On its own, xenios is best (especially while standing upright), however the good padding and rather rigid shape at the top makes pull-ups rather uncomfortable for me with this vest (see above). Hence rather difficult. Here, too, I would tend to see the homcom at the back - just how easy it is to put them on everyone is easy to put on, there are no significant differences (with the xenios, if necessary, check that the back is "glued on" in the right place with Velcro). Two more points, which were added later: - length: no difference - breathing against weight: no difference (except for fastening with cs) In summary, I would say: Look at the price that currently applies to the three products. If you want it to be particularly cheap, homcom may be the best. You make a lot of compromises imo and you are free to do the smell tests yourself, but if you want a halfway functioning vest at a good price, you might be able to beat it here (it's difficult to say how long it will last). But if you say that the price difference isn't that big and then I'd rather buy sensibly and keep it for longer: we recommend cs or xenios. When I bought the xenios at 149, it was about 35 euros more expensive than the cs. Basically, the xenios is also the most dimensionally stable and well padded, but for me the impairment when raising my arms is very stupid compared to the other two (you press the shoulder parts against the neck), I also like the two straps solution for fixing cs better. The shoulder padding could be better here, but the arm room above (for pull-ups) is more important to me here. Therefore, I would personally recommend cs (or use "fold over"). If someone has broader shoulders, the raising of the arms with the xenios may be less noticeable (but I probably don't have the narrowest shoulders either). Overall, considering the prices, I give cs 4 stars and xenios and homcom 3 stars. (Own 5 and 4, but because of the smell I deducted 1 point from all of them, unfortunately there is no clear universal winner, sometimes they just smell different) I would really wish that the smells would get better. Unfortunately, the cs also stinks (even after 20 days). # Auslblick Alternatives ## What about weight vests that can be additionally loaded with plates or with purely extended plug-in weights (no own weights included)? What these vests have in common is that they are not sold directly with heavy weights. One usually stays with these vests when they are sold. always at approx.

The Capital Sports Monstervest arrived at my home two days after I ordered it and was very well packaged considering it weighed over 30kg. Since I've been training with my own body weight for a long time and tend to avoid gyms, I bought this vest in addition to my resistance bands. I spent a really long time researching which vest best suits me and my training style, and I am extremely happy that I chose Capital Sports. Admittedly, I was a little pessimistic about the price at first, as it seemed a bit low compared to the desired performance and in direct comparison with the competitors, but now I can't imagine a better vest for my everyday training. The quality of the vest is really top class, the fit is excellent (179cm 74kg) and the vest also looks great. The weights can not only be easily inserted into and removed from the pockets provided, but you can also vary how much weight you want to put on your back or chest. I mainly use the vest for dips, push-ups and pull-ups, I've never run/jogged with it before. You increase the variety of training at home instead of in the gym and can thus create an incredible number of new muscle stimuli without dumbbells. For me, the vest has become indispensable in training and given the payload of up to 30kg, you will benefit from it for the next few years. Basically there is nothing negative to say, except that the vest dangles slightly forwards or downwards when doing push-ups, since you cannot fix it optimally in the chest area, but it bothers me less, so no deduction in the rating. Given the price AND the performance, I can't imagine there being any better weighted vests on the market!

The Capital Sports weight vest has ONE shortcoming: The upper Velcro strap starts too early. If you wear the vest over a muscle shirt, for example, the skin on the upper arm rubs on the Velcro part and you graze your arm. Therefore, you can really only wear them well on a T-shirt. An acceptable alternative is to twist the mount, but this will hold it a little less well. Other than that, I don't think there's anything to complain about. For the money, the vest is absolutely great, if you look around for reasonable alternatives, you quickly realize that you have to shell out 100 EUR more. The vest fits relatively securely if you buckle it up properly and thanks to the small pockets and the reasonable weights (anyone who has ever worked with small packages of sand will REALLY appreciate the iron weights) you can go jogging or do box jumps with it, without having to constantly realign the vest. Clear purchase recommendation from my side, if the manufacturer produces a new version at some point, then he would only have to start the Velcro on the upper bracket later, as I said.

Since I wanted a variable additional weight for certain exercises, I ordered this vest. Overall I am very happy with the vest. The workmanship is very good. The pockets for the individual weights are very stable and, with the exception of two pockets, are all sewn in such a way that the weights go in and out very easily. The wearing comfort is good. At first I thought it was rather bad, but that was more to do with me and the fact that my shoulders weren't used to having 30 kg attached to it. After the fourth or fifth time, the body has gotten used to it and everything is ok. Putting on the vest was a bit difficult the first few times. Lifting 30 slack kilos over your head and then moving it around so that you can get the vest over your head easily and without ripping your ears off sounds easier than it is :) But after a few tries I got it I found the best solution for me: spread out the vest on the floor. On the side where the straps for the Velcro are, I lie down with my back on it, then half my head in the intended opening. Then lift the other part over your head, place it on your chest, put on the Velcro fasteners, done. That's also the only point I would criticize: Instead of the Velcro fasteners, I would prefer a different type of closure. Unfortunately I don't know what they're called. Either to adjust and click in beforehand or to thread and tighten. But the velcro fasteners also hold (at least not yet, I don't have long-term experience yet), so no deduction for that, it's clear to see that there are velcro fasteners on the vest.

MATERIALE ---Realizzato in ottimo materiale esterno in nylon resistente e rinforzato, molto resistente alla lacerazione e all'acqua.

An absolutely indispensable and versatile accessory for strengthening the muscles of the body and for body building, this model of jacket has no contraindications of any kind nor does it involve great inconvenience. Black in colour, the jacket is worn like a normal gilet but with the particularity of having weighted pockets which contain weights of 1 kg each so as to adjust the weight each time an exercise is performed. PACKAGE CONTENT---Black vest, 20 x 920g sand weights. DESCRIPTION--The vest has multiple pockets both front and back to adjust the weights to be worn each time, each one easily removable thanks to the hook-and-loop closure of the pockets. The gilet is very comfortable thanks to the reinforced padding on the shoulders which must support all the weight. It has an adjustable nylon strap with Velcro closure for individual adaptation to both slender and slightly obese bodies. MATERIAL ---Made of great durable and reinforced nylon outer material, very resistant to tearing and water. On the front and back there are outer pockets that can be filled evenly with eight separately removable sand weights (920 g each). DIMENSIONS --: about 41.5 x 55 x 8.5 cm (LxHxD), weight: about 920 g (per weight). CONSIDERATIONS--A very welcome gift for my son who loves to keep fit by performing simple body building exercises, and this padded gilet helps a lot to gradually strengthen his muscles, weighing down his body for greater resistance. Excellent for performing a physical rehabilitation course, but also for all runners who want to harmoniously and effectively strengthen their muscles. HOW IT WORKS--Best used by adjusting the weights from minimum to maximum until you reach the full 20kg weight. WHO I RECOMMEND IT TO--I recommend it to those who love to keep fit in the privacy of their home, with this gilet you can achieve rapid results in a short time. Greater weight equals a great loss of energy and excess fat and calories are burned, and a great absolute advantage is the thickening of the muscle bands thanks to the greater effort that must be made during the exercise.

The article was made available to me for testing purposes. At no time was a third party influenced the review. My wife accepted the package and didn't take the advice about the weight too seriously :) She won't be using the vest and wearing it once was fine for her. A total of 20 black colored individual metal weights averaging 960 g per weight are included. I hope they don't start to rust. Each individual weight has its own pocket in the vest. The weights can be placed very firmly in it. In the front and rear area of the vest there are two rows of 5 weight pockets each. Each row has an overflowing Velcro closure. The weights can be safely stored in the pockets. No wobbling or slipping out of the weights, even when jumping. Despite all the naysayers. Yes, you can jump including all weights :) Just not really high :( Because of the large number of weights, it is possible to adjust to many different weight classes in a balanced way for the front and back. This is good for me with pull-ups, because with a fully equipped additional 20 * about 960 g = 19.2 kg + vest about 800 g = 20 kg in total I can't do it anymore. The vest has a long and wide nylon Velcro fastener running around the hips.Another metal eyelet is attached to the front It can be secured. That also makes me feel safe. It's unimaginable if such a vest hits you in the head when the fastener is loosened. There is nothing to complain about in terms of the overall workmanship of the vest. The padding is satisfactory, except for the shoulders. Of all places There's not really enough padding on the shoulders, where the weight pulls you down the most, which is why I deducted a star from the rating.
