Ho aiutato un amico a montarle e ne approfitto per dire la mia su queste sedie perché sono superiori alle aspettative. Intanto è una coppia, cosa che lo ha stupito visto che credeva di averne comprato solo una, senza rendersi conto che si parlava di “set da due” (il titolo in effetti era fuorviante, non era come questo). Nonostante ciò per una sedia vintage era stato disposto a spendere quasi 120 euro quindi trovarne due a sessanta l’una è stata una bella sorpresa. Il montaggio non è stato complicato, alla fine ne abbiamo montata una l’uno e per chi ha esperienza con roba dell’Ikea una sedia non può creare problemi. In realtà in un paio di occasioni le viti non hanno collaborato molto, è stato necessario mettere un po’ di forza per farle entrare ognuna nei rispettivi alloggiamenti, ma niente di eccessivamente difficile. Attenzione solo a non spargere i pezzi da tutte le parti perché se se ne perde uno sono dolori, trovare anche una vite compatibile può essere tanto difficile da far venire voglia di ricomprarle. Guardandole non sembrano essere molto stabili, come se la base fosse troppo stretta. Tuttavia sedendosi questa impressione scompare, anche perché alla fine si tratta di sedie statiche e anche se è presente la possibilità di un leggero dondolio, l’ho evitato con tutto me stesso perché tornava in mente la base stretta. La seduta in finta pelle è comoda ma solo il tempo ne dimostrerà la resistenza. A casa mia ho delle sedie in pelle che dopo cinque anni si stanno sbriciolando…gli auguro l’opposto. Le gambe in legno le rendono compatibili sia con ambienti più rustici che quelli moderni, magari con parquet color betulla. Essendo presenti dei gommini protettivi, non sembrano poter graffiare superfici delicate, ma mettere quattro feltrini per sedia è un consiglio universale che non può che portare benefici. Alla fine arredano un ambiente pur essendo solo sedie. Catturano lo sguardo, quello è poco ma sicuro.

Despite this, he had been willing to spend almost 120 euros for a vintage chair, so finding two at sixty each was a nice surprise. Assembly wasn't complicated, in the end we assembled one each and for those who have experience with Ikea stuff a chair can't cause problems. In reality, on a couple of occasions the screws didn't cooperate much, it was necessary to use a bit of force to get each one to enter their respective slots, but nothing excessively difficult. Just be careful not to scatter the pieces everywhere because if you lose one it's painful, even finding a compatible screw can be so difficult that it makes you want to buy them again. Looking at them they don't seem to be very stable, as if the base was too narrow. However, when sitting down this impression disappears, also because in the end these are static chairs and even if there is the possibility of a slight rocking, I avoided it with all my being because the narrow base came to mind. The faux leather seat is comfortable but only time will prove its resistance. In my house I have leather chairs that are crumbling after five years...I wish them the opposite. The wooden legs make them compatible with both more rustic and modern environments, perhaps with birch-colored parquet. Since there are protective rubbers, they do not seem to be able to scratch delicate surfaces, but putting four felt pads per chair is universal advice that can only bring benefits. In the end they furnish an environment even though they are just chairs. They catch the eye, that's for sure.
