Forget filling water forms and stuffing them into freezers, then annoyingly tapping out ice cubes one at a time. With an ice maker, that is a thing of the past.
1.1 litres of water fit into the tank of the Icemeister, which starts with production immediately after filling. After 15 minutes, the first 9 cubes drop into the container.After that, the 150-watt ice maker really gets under way. In 10-minute intervals, it continues to spit out 9 additional ice cubes until all the water is used up or the 0.4-litre ice cube holder is full (about 0.9kg of ice). If there is no water left or if the ice cube container is full, the Klarstein Icemeister dutifully displays the information on its blue-lit LCD display. If you regularly keep up the water supply and empty the container, the ice maker will produce up to 12kg of ice cubes in 24 hours.
The ice maker is operated via four keys below the display. With the press of a button, you can then choose between three ice cube sizes or set the practical timer. This allows you to easily program the unit in the morning before work, then come home to ice ready for a relaxing cocktail or highball in the evening. The display itself leaves nothing to be desired during operation: large, easy-to-understand symbols clearly display the set operating mode at all times. The subtle blue backlight helps you read the device in dim light, while at the same time emphasising the simple elegance of the ice master.

Il nous arrive fréquemment de faire des réunions entre amis ou avec la famille. Par groupe de 20 à 50 personnes, nous nous réunissons dans différentes salles en location et, c'est chaque fois la même chose, c'est une heures avant le début des festivités que quelqu'un pose la question: qui a fait des glaçons ? Ce qui jette un froid... mais ne fait pas de glace. Faute d'infrastructure, par oubli ou manque de place dans les congélateurs qui contiennent déjà les boissons, la réponse était toujours non. Depuis que nous avons cette machine, plus de problème, il suffit de la remplir d'eau une heures avant et nous avons des glaçons pour toute la soirée. On peut même choisir le format ou programmer la fabrication au moment opportun. De plus, elle est jolie et chic avec son écran bleu. On lui trouve toujours une petite place dans un coin du bar Les glaçons sont conservés pendant plusieurs heures dans le bac et ils ont bien meilleur gout que ceux qui passent plusieurs jours au congélateur. Pour le service, une petite palette en plastique est fournie. C'est la classe. Le mode d'emploi est en Allemand et en Anglais. Voici donc quelques explications supplémentaires. Comme tout appareil réfrigérant, il faut le laisser reposer 30 minutes avant de le brancher lorsqu'il a été transporté. Avant la première utilisation et de façon épisodique en fonction de la fréquence d'utilisation, il faut nettoyer l'appareil. Fort heureusement il y a un mode d'auto nettoyage. Il suffit de mettre un litre de vinaigre et un litre d'eau dans la cuve et d'appuyer 5 sec sur le bouton ON. A la fin du cycle, il faut vider la cuve (un petit bouchon blanc est prévu à l'arrière de l'appareil) le remplir d'eau claire et relancer un second cycle pour le rinçage. Vider la cuve et la sécher. On ne fait pas plus facile. L'afficheur LCD vous informe de la taille des glaçons choisie (SELECT) de l'heure et de la programmation (SET). Il y a aussi une alarme lorsque le bac à glaçons est rempli, lorsque l'eau manque ou en cas de blocage du système mécanique. Lorsque l'appareil n'est pas utilisé et qu'il est à la maison, il est branché en permanence. Il suffit d'y mettre de l'eau et 15 minutes plus tard nous avons 10 glaçons. Désormais, plus personne ne pose la question. Nous avons TOUJOURS des glaçons...

The ice cubes are kept for several hours in the tray and they taste much better than those that spend several days in the freezer. For service, a small plastic palette is provided. That is the class. The instructions are in German and English. So here are some additional explanations. Like any refrigerating appliance, it must be left to rest for 30 minutes before plugging it in when it has been transported. Before the first use and occasionally depending on the frequency of use, the device must be cleaned. Fortunately there is a self-cleaning mode. Simply put a liter of vinegar and a liter of water in the tank and press the ON button for 5 seconds. At the end of the cycle, you must empty the tank (a small white cap is provided at the back of the device), fill it with clear water and restart a second cycle for rinsing. Empty the tank and dry it. It doesn't get any easier. The LCD display informs you of the ice cube size chosen (SELECT) of the time and of the programming (SET). There is also an alarm when the ice cube tray is full, when there is a lack of water or if the mechanical system is blocked. When the device is not in use and is at home, it is permanently plugged in. Just put water in it and 15 minutes later we have 10 ice cubes. Now no one asks the question anymore. We ALWAYS have ice...
