Vorweg den negativen Bewertungen kann ich mich nicht anschließen. Wir hätten gerne einen namhafte Marke genommen/gekauft und am Budget lag es in unserem Fall nicht. Das Hauptproblem lag bei uns, dass wir genau diese Abmessungen benötigt haben. Und sie hat genau gepasst. Natürlich ist sie einfacher in der Qualität und in der Bedienung etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, etwas lauter aber man kann sich daran gewöhnen, schließlich läuft die Mikrowelle ja nicht wie eine Spülmaschine über Stunden. Wenn man was zum Nörgeln sucht findet man immer was. Wir sind zufrieden

First of all, I can't agree with the negative reviews. We would have liked to have bought a well-known brand and in our case it wasn't a budget issue. The main problem for us was that we needed exactly these dimensions. And it fit perfectly. Of course, it is simpler in terms of quality and takes a bit of getting used to in terms of operation, a bit louder but you can get used to it, after all, the microwave doesn't run for hours like a dishwasher. If you're looking for something to complain about, you'll always find something. We are satisfied

Was von dem einen Herren alles beschrieben wurde unter diesen Rezessionen kann ich nur bestätigen. Wollte auch eine Markenmikrowelle, gab es aber nicht in der Größe die wir brauchten...also haben wir uns für diese entschieden und sind ebenfalls total zufrieden von der Optik, den leichten Einbau und der Funktion. Die Lautstärke ist normal wie bei jeder Mikrowelle.

I can only confirm everything that one gentleman has described in these reviews. I also wanted a branded microwave, but there wasn't one in the size we needed...so we decided on this one and are also totally happy with the look, the ease of installation and the functionality. The noise level is normal, as with any microwave.

Die Mikrowellenfunktion ist bei der 2. Mikrowelle sehr gut. Die erste hatte leider eine Fehlfunktion (lautes Trafobrummen). Umtausch war schnell und ohne Probleme. Die Grillfunktion ist so lala. Ich weiß nicht ob nur eine Oberhitze wirklich das bringt, was man sich erhofft. Das Gitter vor den Heizstäben biegt sich bei Erwärmung nach oben in Richtung der Heizstäbe und man könnte meinen, die Stäbe könnten sich mit dem Blech verschmelzen. Sonst bin ich aber sehr zufrieden und würde sie dennoch weiterempfehlen.

The microwave function is very good on the second microwave. Unfortunately, the first one had a malfunction (loud transformer hum). The exchange was quick and without any problems. The grill function is so-so. I don't know whether only using top heat really achieves what you hope for. The grid in front of the heating elements bends upwards towards the heating elements when heated and you'd think the elements could melt into the tray. Otherwise, I'm very satisfied and would still recommend it.

Habe auch lange gesucht nach einer einfach zu bedienenden Mikrowelle, naja intuitiv geht das nicht oder vielleicht bin ich auch zu alt. Bei manchen der vielen Funktionen muss mal erst lange nachdenken oder in das Manual schauen, einfach mal was aufwärmen (wie früher mit 2 Schaltern= Dauer und Hitze) geht nicht. Sonst ein ordentliches Gerät mit ordentlicher Verarbeitung, die aber an die 25 Jahre alte Mikrowelle deutscher Produktion (AEG) nicht herankommt. Aber in Deutschland gefertigte Geräte würden sicher auch ein Mehrfaches kosten....so sind eben die Zeiten und so gibt man eben der China-Produktion (oder wer weiß woher das Gerät stammt) einfach einen deutschen Namen.

I have also been looking for a microwave that is easy to use for a long time, well, it is not intuitive or maybe I am too old. For some of the many functions you have to think for a long time or look in the manual, simply heating something up (like in the old days with 2 switches = duration and heat) does not work. Otherwise a decent device with decent workmanship, but it cannot compare to the 25 year old German-made microwave (AEG). But devices made in Germany would certainly cost several times more...that's just the way things are and so you just give the Chinese production (or who knows where the device comes from) a German name.

Bin sehr zufrieden, kann die Mikrowelle ohne Bedenken weiterempfehlen. Leichte Handhabung ,gute Ergebnisse. Würde sie mir wieder kaufen. Einfach toll.

wir hatten diese Mikrowelle bestellt da unsere kaputt ging und wir, da wir ein Baby haben, auf eine angewiesen sind. leider kam diese Mikrowelle defekt. der Drehteller drehte sich nicht und auch das Licht ging nicht. Wir konnten die Mikrowelle anstandslos zurück schicken. ich bat den Verkäufer uns eine neue zu schicken, aber meine Frau kaufte an diesem Tag schon eine neue. Sie kam an und auch diese konnten wir ohne Probleme zurück senden. An sich kann ich die Mikrowelle nicht bewerten aber den Verkäufer, und an den gehen alle Daumen hoch und vielen Dank für diesen unkomplizierten Umtausch. Danke Danke. Macht weiter so

We ordered this microwave because ours broke and we need one as we have a baby. Unfortunately, this microwave arrived broken. The turntable didn't turn and the light didn't work either. We were able to send the microwave back without any problems. I asked the seller to send us a new one, but my wife bought a new one that day. It arrived and we were able to send it back without any problems. I can't really rate the microwave but I can rate the seller, and all thumbs up to him and thank you for this uncomplicated exchange. Unsere neue Mikrowelle von Klarstein hat Ihren Platz über unserem Einbauherd gefunden. Optisch ein Highlight und passt perfekt in unsere neue Einbauküche. Der Einbau ist sehr einfach und schnell erledigt. Die Rückwand der Küche benötigt eine Öffnung wegen der Abluft. Die Mikrowelle Steelwave hat viele Funktionen und die Ergebnisse sind überzeugend. Ein Gerät mit einem sehr gutem Preisleistungsverhältnis. Der Einbaurahmen hatte bei Lieferung am unteren linken Rand eine kleine Delle. Der Verkäufer wurde bereits informiert und er wird sicher eine Lösung dafür finden. Aus diesem Grunde trotzdem volle Punktzahl für dieses Gerät.

Our new microwave from Klarstein has found its place above our built-in oven. It is a visual highlight and fits perfectly into our new fitted kitchen. Installation is very simple and quick. The back wall of the kitchen needs an opening for the exhaust air. The Steelwave microwave has many functions and the results are impressive. A device with a very good price-performance ratio. The installation frame had a small dent on the bottom left edge when it was delivered. The seller has already been informed and he will surely find a solution. For this reason, full marks for this device.

Unsere Mikrowelle war ein älteres Schätzchen und es wurde Zeit eine neue zu suchen. Wir haben uns für diese entschieden, da mir die Optik gefällt und wir mit Klarstein gute Erfahrungen gemacht haben. Die Mikrowelle kam gut verpackt bei mir an und ich musste sie natürlich gleich auspacken und aufstellen. Natürlich ist ein Drehteller dabei und in diesem Fall auch ein Grillring, da sie ja eine Grillfunktion hat. Die Anleitung ist in mehreren Sprachen. Wir haben unsere Mikrowelle in einem Schrank stehen. Es ist nach oben, seitlich und auch nach hinten genug Platz. Unser Problem kam beim einstecken. Das Kabel ist recht kurz und so mussten wir erst mal ein Verlängerungskabel holen, damit wir sie einstecken konnten. Ich bin der Typ der nie Anleitungen liest. Meist kommt man ja auch super ohne aus. In diesem Fall musste ich dann aber doch mal zur Anleitung greifen. Bis jetzt gab es einen Drehknopf für die Stufe, einen für die Zeit und einen Knopf zum aufmachen. Fertig. Jetzt habe ich viele Knöpfe und Voreingestellt Programme. Da musste ich dich erst mal lesen wie es funktioniert. Die Programme und alle Knöpfe sind in Englisch beschriftet, was es für meinen Partner etwas schwerer macht als für mich. Er wird noch einige male Fragen was was bedeutet. Die Einstellung die er am meisten brauchen wird hat er aber schon raus. Es gibt 6 vorprogrammierte Einstellungen. Wenn ich also einen Kakao machen will muss ich nur A3 einstellen und schon passt alles. Wir haben es mit Getränke, Reis, Aufwärmen und Gemüse probiert. Das Aufwärmen hat net ganz so geklappt, aber alles andere ging super. Wer seine eigene Zeit und Stufe einstellen will kann das auch ganz leicht. Mit Micro Power (ganz oben) stellt man die Stufe ein. In diesem Fall hat man 100 Prozent, 80 Prozent, etc. Mit dem Drehknopf danach dann nur noch die Zeit einstellen und dann Start drücken. Mit dem Drehknopf kann man wenn man will dann sogar noch das Gewicht eingeben. Wenn ich also weiß das ich ein 500g Stück Fleisch drin habe, dann brauche ich ja weniger Zeit als bei 1kg. Für mich ganz neu, aber sehr praktisch. Mit dem Cancel/Pause Knopf kann ich jederzeit Pause machen oder es ganz aus machen. Schön finde ich das ich die Zeit in 10 Sekunden Stufen einstellen kann. Bei der alten konnte ich immer nur volle Minuten einstellen. Bei einer Tortilla brauch ich aber ja nur 10 Sekunden um sie aufzuwärmen. Sobald die Zeit abgelaufen ist Piept die Mikrowelle und im Display wird END angezeigt. Sobald man die Tür öffnet zeigt es wieder die Uhrzeit an. Wenn man die Tür net öffnet, ertönt alle 3 Minuten wieder ein Piepton. So vergisst man net das etwas in der Mikrowelle ist und man es entnehmen muss. Die Grillfunktion war nun etwas ganz neues für mich. Hier gibt es 3 Programme. G - Nur Grillfunktion C1 - 30% der Zeit wird mit der Mikrowelle gegart und der Rest mit dem Grill C2 - 55% der Zeit wird mit der Mikrowelle gegart und der Rest mit dem Grill Beim grillen nutzt man den Grillring. So ist das Essen höher und genau unter dem Grillteil. Ich habe es mal mit Würstchen und Frikadellen probiert. Grillfunktion ausgesucht, Zeit eingestellt und los ging es. Zwischen drin habe ich das Fleisch mal umgedreht, damit es von allen Seiten gegrillt wird. Funktioniert einwandfrei! Auch beim Auftauen hat man voreingestellte Programme. Fleisch, Geflügel und Meeresfrüchte sind schon eingestellt. Man muss nur noch Zeit und Gewicht einstellen. Nach der Hälfte der Zeit kommt ein doppelter Piepton. So weiß man das man die Lebensmittel einmal umdrehen muss. Man hat so ein gleichmäßigeres Ergebnis. Für die vorgegebenen Programme habe ich mir die Seite aus der Anleitung kopiert und neben die Mikrowelle gelegt. Ich denke da brauche ich noch eine Weile um die auswendig zu können. Genauso ist es beim verzögerten Start und beim kombinierten Garen. Das sind nämlich noch 2 Dinge die meine alte Mikrowelle net konnte. Our microwave was an older gem and it was time to look for a new one. We decided on this one because I like the look and we've had good experiences with Klarstein. The microwave arrived well packaged and of course I had to unpack it and set it up straight away. Of course it comes with a turntable and in this case also a grill ring, as it has a grill function. The instructions are in several languages. We have our microwave in a cupboard. There is enough space above, to the side and to the back. Our problem came when plugging it in. The cable is quite short and so we had to get an extension cable so we could plug it in. I'm the type of person who never reads instructions. Most of the time you can get by just fine without one. In this case, however, I had to resort to the instructions. Up until now there was a knob for the level, one for the time and a button to open it. Done. Now I have lots of buttons and preset programs. I had to read how it works. The programs and all the buttons are labelled in English, which makes it a bit more difficult for my partner than it is for me. He will ask a few more questions about what each means. But he has already figured out the setting he will need most. There are 6 pre-programmed settings. So if I want to make a cocoa, I just have to set A3 and everything is fine. We tried it with drinks, rice, warming up and vegetables. Warming up didn't quite work, but everything else went great. If you want to set your own time and level, you can do that very easily. You set the level with Micro Power (right at the top). In this case, you have 100 percent, 80 percent, etc. Then just use the dial to set the time and then press start. You can even use the dial to enter the weight if you want. So if I know that I have a 500g piece of meat in there, then I need less time than with 1kg. Completely new for me, but very practical. I can pause or turn it off completely at any time using the Cancel/Pause button. I like that I can set the time in 10 second increments. With the old one, I could only set full minutes. But with a tortilla I only need 10 seconds to heat it up. As soon as the time is up the microwave beeps and END appears on the display. As soon as you open the door it shows the time again. If you don't open the door a beep sounds every 3 minutes. That way you don't forget that there is something in the microwave and you need to take it out. The grill function was something completely new for me. There are 3 programs. G - Grill function only C1 - 30% of the time is cooked in the microwave and the rest on the grill C2 - 55% of the time is cooked in the microwave and the rest on the grill When grilling you use the grill ring. This way the food is higher and directly under the grill part. I tried it with sausages and meatballs. Selected the grill function, set the time and off we went. In between I turned the meat over so that it was grilled on all sides. Works perfectly! There are also preset programs for defrosting. Meat, poultry and seafood are already set. You just have to set the time and weight. After half the time, you hear a double beep. This lets you know that you have to turn the food over once. This gives you a more even result. For the predefined programs, I copied the page from the instructions and put it next to the microwave. I think I need a while to learn it by heart. It's the same with delayed start and combined cooking. These are two things that my old microwave couldn't do. Delayed start is when I enter a certain time to start. Die Rauchentwicklung minimal; bei geöffnetem Fenste und Einschalten der Dunstabzugshaube war der Rauch zwar zu sehen aber kaum wahrzunehmen. Einfache Erhitzung von Lebensmitteln (vorgekochen Speisen) problemlos. Kochen,bzw. Garen noch nicht erprobt, ist aber für uns zur Zeit auch nicht notwendig.

Ordered on Tuesday, delivered on Thursday. Excellent. So far it's worked well. The smoke development is minimal; with the window open and the extractor hood switched on, the smoke was visible but hardly noticeable. Easy heating of food (pre-cooked meals) is no problem. Not yet tried cooking or simmering, but it's not necessary for us at the moment.

Ils ont bien changés les fours micro-ondes depuis mon vieux Miele qui approche des 25 ans. Ce modèle que j'ai acheté pour ma nièce fait presque tout automatiquement. Il n'est plus utile de s'évertuer à lire les conseils de cuisson écrits très petits sur les emballage des produits. C'est l'idéal pour tous ceux qui ont peu de temps ou n'ont aucune affinité avec la cuisine. Avant l'installation, il faut, pour ceux qui n'ont pas l'habitude, lire complètement le mode d'emploi très complet et en particulier les instructions de sécurité. Malheureusement ce mode d'emploi n'est qu'en Anglais, Allemand et Italien. Je conseille donc impérativement de demander un mode d'emploi en Français disponible au format pdf auprès du service après-ventes. En attendant, voici quelques explications. Le première chose à faire est de régler l'heure en appuyant 3 sec sur le bouton CLOCK et régler l'heure avec le bouton rotatif. Ce réglage est obligatoire si vous souhaitez utiliser la fonction de départ différé. On y trouve plusieurs modes de fonctionnement. Tout d'abord un mode classique en réglant le pourcentage de puissance avec le bouton POWER et le temps avec le bouton rotatif. Un mode GRILL uniquement avec lequel on peut utiliser le trépied métallique fourni pour surélever l'assiette. Comme cette pièce est métallique, il est interdit de l'utiliser avec les micro-ondes (étincelles et destruction possible de l'émetteur) Un mode COMBI qui comprend deux positions C1 30% micro-ondes 70% grill et C2 55% micro-ondes et 45 % grill. Note: Le mode multi-séquences vous permet aussi de programmer manuellement une séquence POWER (voir ci-dessus) suivie d'une séquence GRILL pour les quelles il est chaque fois possible de régler la puissance et le temps. Un mode DEFROST qui comprend 3 positions FORT (Viande), MODERE (Volaille), FAIBLE (Fruits de mer). Il suffit de donner le poids des ingrédients avec le bouton rotatif et l'appareil détermine lui même le temps nécessaire. Si les ingrédients doivent être retournés, le four sonne trois fois. Génial ! et enfin le mode AUTO COOKING dont le bouton permet de choisir un des 8 ingrédients affichés sur le panneau avant. Il suffit de lui donner le poids des ingrédients avec le bouton rotatif, le four fait le reste. Lorsque la programmation est terminée, le four démarre en appuyant sur le bouton START Grâce au bouton PAUSE/CANCEL on peut annuler ou interrompre la cuisson. Il y a aussi une fonction LOCK qui désactive les boutons pour éviter que les enfants y touchent pendant la cuisson. Appuyer 3 sec sur le bouton PAUSE pour bloquer/débloquer. Attention à la matière du contenant céramique, verre, plastiques. Certains ne convienne pas à tous les modes. Cela est expliqué dans le mode d'emploi. Cerise sur le gâteau le four est très beau et extrêmement bien fini. Toutes les informations sont affichées clairement sur l'écran. Dernier rappel, pour éviter tout risque d'explosion il ne faut jamais réchauffer ou cuire des aliments dans un récipient ou un sachet hermétiquement fermé. Dévisser les tétines des biberons et faites de petits trous dans les emballages. J'espère avoir été le plus complet possible et il ne me reste plus qu'à vous souhaiter bon appétit.

They have changed the microwave ovens since my old Miele which was almost 25 years old. This model I bought for my niece does almost everything automatically. There is no longer any point in struggling to read the very small cooking instructions written on product packaging. It's ideal for anyone who has little time or no affinity for cooking. Before installation, for those who are not familiar with it, you must completely read the very comprehensive instructions for use and in particular the safety instructions. Unfortunately this manual is only in English, German and Italian. I therefore absolutely recommend requesting instructions in French available in PDF format from the after-sales service. In the meantime, here are some explanations. The first thing to do is to set the time by pressing the CLOCK button for 3 seconds and set the time with the rotary knob. This setting is mandatory if you wish to use the delayed start function. There are several operating modes. Einleitung: Wen das untenstehende Geschwafel nicht interessiert, der kann es natürlich gerne überspringen und gleich bei den eigentlichen Informationen zum Gerät weiterlesen! Ich bin ja schon fast traumatisiert, was die Suche nach einem passenden Mikrowellenherd betrifft. Ich habe (ohne Übertreibung!) ca. 10 Stunden damit verbracht, ein geeignetes Gerät zu finden, und das, obwohl meine Anforderungen minimal - im wahrsten Sinn des Wortes - waren. Ich wollte... * ein kompaktes Gerät, das trotzdem einen großen Garraum bietet * eine Grillfunktion * möglichst wenige technische Spielereien bzw. Knöpfe * eine Auftaufunktion Der letzte Punkt war übrigens der werten Frau Gemahlin geschuldet. Alle Erklärungsversuche meinerseits, dass die Auftaufunktion nichts anderes mache, als anhand des Gewichts und des vorgegebenen Gefriergutes die benötigte Zeit sowie Leistung zu berechnen, gingen ins Leere. ;-) Ich bin auf meiner Suche nach dem passenden Gerät zwar auch mehrmals über "Klarstein" gestolpert, wollte aber eher auf ein sogenanntes Markengerät setzen. Nachdem ich dbzgl. aber wirklich nichts Passendes gefunden hatte (und wenn doch, wären mehrere Hundert Euro zu veranschlagen gewesen, was ich nicht bereit war zu zahlen), habe ich mich doch für Klarstein entschieden. Danke an dieser Stelle übrigens noch einmal an andere Käufer, die meine Frage bzgl. der Gerätegröße beantwortet haben! Und nun zum Gerät: Die auf Amazon angegebenen Größenangaben stimmen zwar, aber wenn's um ganz spezielle Einbausituationen geht, reichen sie nicht aus. Die für mich wichtigste Angabe ist der mindestens benötigte Platz von der Wand bis zu den vorderen Füßen. Dieser beträgt knapp 29 cm (siehe Foto). Es gilt dabei die weiter nach hinten abstehenden Kabelführungsschellen zu berücksichtigen! Von diesen Schellen bis zur vorderen Kante beträgt die Tiefe ziemlich genau 37 cm. Rechnet man den Griff dazu, sind's noch einmal 3,5 cm mehr. Aber Achtung: Laut Bedienungsanleitung sollte das Gerät 10 cm Abstand zur Rückwand und 20 cm nach oben hin haben! Vor allem der Abstand nach oben sollte tatsächlich nicht viel weniger betragen, da bei der Verwendung der Grillfunktion die Oberseite extrem heiß wird! Bei der ersten Inbetriebnahme stinkt und raucht der Mikrowellenherd übrigens gewaltig! Das steht zwar so auch in der Bedienungsanleitung (Staub- und Ölreste, die verbrannt werden), ich war aber über das Ausmaß doch ziemlich erstaunt. Am besten ist's also, das Gerät beim ersten Mal in die Nähe eines offenen Fensters zu stellen. Wie auf einem der Fotos ersichtlich ist, bietet der Garraum wirklich viel Platz. Ich habe den größtmöglichen runden Teller mit einem Durchmesser von 30,5 cm hineingestellt. Dieser hat gerade noch Platz. Das war eine der wichtigsten Anforderungen für mich. Der mitgelieferte Grillrost ist nett, brauch ich aber nicht. Und nun zu den wichtigsten Punkten - Bedienbarkeit und Leistung: Theoretisch ist's möglich, dieses Gerät gleich nach Durchlesen der grundlegenden Funktionen zu verwenden. Wenn's schnell gehen muss: Leistung (mehrmaliges Drücken der "Micro Power"-Taste für 20%-Schritte) und Dauer mittels Drehrad einstellen - starten - fertig! Nach Beendigung einer Funktion piepst das Gerät drei Mal. Die Lautstärke ist gerade richtig - nicht zu leise, aber auch nicht zu aufdringlich. Für die erweiterten Funktionen sollte man ein bisschen genauer gelesen haben: Die Auto Cooking-Programme gibt's zwar, ich verwende sie aber so gut wie gar nicht, da solche Programme immer nur ein schlechter Kompromiss aus Werbung und Schätzspiel sind. Ein Mikrowellenherd kann von sich aus niemals wissen, mit welcher Leistung eine bestimmte Speise wie lange aufgewärmt werden muss, wenn er nicht jede Menge Sensoren integriert hat. Und diese Sensoren gibt's beim Klarstein klarerweise nicht. Also nimmt das Gerät halt an, dass man z. B. zwei kleine Pizzastücke hinein gelegt hat, wenn man das Pizza- Aufwärmprogramm gewählt hat. Irgendetwas geht dabei immer schief: Entweder ist das Ergebnis zu heiß oder zu kalt. Nach ein paar aufgewärmten Speisen bekommt man aber ohnehin ein Gefühl dafür, welche Kombination aus Leistung und Dauer die optimale ist. Die Taste "Instant/Start" ermöglicht einen sofortigen Start ohne viel nachzufragen. Die Taste "Grill/Combi" ermöglich eine sequentielle (!) Nutzung von Mikrowelle und Grill. Dabei werden - je nach gewählter Funktion - die Speisen mit diesen beiden Funktionen unterschiedlich lange aufgewärmt. Bei "C1" ca. im Verhältnis ein Drittel zu zwei Drittel, bei "C2" sind's je ca. 50%. Wie gesagt: Diese beiden Aufwärmtechniken werden nicht gleichzeitig, sondern hintereinander ausgeführt! Auf Stufe "G" wird nur gegrillt. Die Taste "Defrost/Clock" tut - mehr oder weniger - das, was der Name aussagt: Auftauen bzw. Uhr einstellen, wobei ich von der ersten Funktion ungefähr gleich begeistert bin wie von den Auto Cooking-Programmen: Eine Funktion fürs Prospekt, die nicht wirklich viel bringt. Selbst die richtigen Parameter einstellen ist hier immer noch das Beste! "Pause/Cancel" dürfte selbst erklärend sein. Hat man die Uhrzeit korrekt eingestellt, gibt's außerdem die Möglichkeit, einen Autotimer zu verwenden. Der Sinn dahinter hat sich mir noch nicht so ganz erschlossen: Nachdem man wohl kaum eine Speise mehr als 15 Minuten lang im Mikrowellenherd erwärmt, wird man diese paar Minuten auch noch warten können, ohne zuvor einen Timer einstellen zu müssen. Fazit: Der Klarstein-Mikrowellenherd ist ein einfach zu bedienendes Gerät, das auch optisch sehr ansprechend ist, einen großen Garraum mit Grillfunktion bietet und genügend Leistung hat. Für mich eine klare Kaufempfehlung, noch dazu wegen des günstigen Preises im Vergleich zu sogenannten Markenprodukten! Introduction: If you are not interested in the ramblings below, you can of course skip it and read on to the actual information about the device! I am almost traumatized when it comes to the search for a suitable microwave oven. I spent (without exaggeration!) around 10 hours trying to find a suitable device, even though my requirements were minimal - in the truest sense of the word. I wanted... * a compact device that still offers a large cooking space * a grill function * as few technical gimmicks or buttons as possible * a defrost function The last point was actually due to my dear wife. All attempts on my part to explain that the defrost function does nothing other than calculate the required time and power based on the weight and the specified frozen goods were in vain. ;-) I did stumble across "Klarstein" several times in my search for the right device, but I wanted to go for a so-called branded device. After I had a few questions about this, I decided to go for a branded device. but I really hadn't found anything suitable (and if I had, it would have cost several hundred euros, which I wasn't prepared to pay), I decided to go with Klarstein. Thanks again at this point to other buyers who answered my question about the size of the device! And now to the device: The size information given on Amazon is correct, but when it comes to very specific installation situations, it is not sufficient. The most important information for me is the minimum space required from the wall to the front feet. This is just under 29 cm (see photo). The cable routing clamps that protrude further back must be taken into account! From these clamps to the front edge, the depth is almost exactly 37 cm. If you include the handle, it is another 3.5 cm more. But be careful: According to the operating instructions, the device should be 10 cm away from the back wall and 20 cm upwards! Above all, the distance upwards should not be much less, as the top gets extremely hot when using the grill function! By the way, when you first turn the microwave on, it smells and smokes a lot! It says so in the manual (dust and oil residues that are burned), but I was pretty surprised at the amount. So it's best to place the device near an open window the first time. As you can see in one of the photos, the cooking chamber really offers a lot of space. I put the largest possible round plate with a diameter of 30.5 cm in. There's just enough room. That was one of the most important requirements for me. The grill rack supplied is nice, but I don't need it. And now to the most important points - usability and performance: Theoretically, it is possible to use this device immediately after reading through the basic functions. If you're in a hurry: set the power (press the "Micro Power" button several times in 20% increments) and duration using the rotary dial - start - done! After a function has finished, the device beeps three times. The volume is just right - not too quiet, but not too intrusive either. You should read a little more carefully for the advanced functions: The auto cooking programs do exist, but I hardly ever use them, as such programs are always just a poor compromise between advertising and guessing games. A microwave oven can never know on its own what power level a certain dish needs to be heated up for how long if it doesn't have a lot of sensors integrated. And these sensors are clearly not present in the Klarstein. So the device just assumes that you have put two small pieces of pizza in it, for example, if you have selected the pizza warming program. Something always goes wrong: Either the result is too hot or too cold. After warming up a few dishes, you get a feel for which combination of power and duration is the best. The "Instant/Start" button enables you to start immediately without asking too many questions. The "Grill/Combi" button enables sequential (!) use of the microwave and grill. Depending on the function selected, the dishes are heated up for different lengths of time using these two functions. For "C1" it's about a third to two thirds, for "C2" it's about 50% each. As I said: These two warming techniques are not carried out simultaneously, but one after the other! Level "G" only grills. The "Defrost/Clock" button does - more or less - what the name suggests: defrosting or setting the clock, although I'm about as enthusiastic about the first function as I am about the Auto Cooking programs: a function for the brochure that doesn't really do much. Even setting the right parameters is still the best here! "Pause/Cancel" should be self-explanatory. Once you've set the time correctly, you also have the option of using an auto timer. I haven't quite figured out the idea behind this yet: since you're unlikely to heat up a dish in the microwave for more than 15 minutes, you'll be able to wait those few minutes without having to set a timer first. Conclusion: The Klarstein microwave oven is an easy-to-use device that is also visually appealing, offers a large cooking space with grill function and has enough power. For me, a clear purchase recommendation, especially because of the low price compared to so-called branded products!
