PDM-C405A 4-channel Mixer with an Amplifier

Ich arbeite als freiberuflicher DJ und habe einen veranstaltungsfesten Mischer gesucht, der auch Bluetooth-Verbindungen "kann" und USB-Sticks liest. Einmal soll er als "Gästestation" dienen, an der Gäste ihre Handys über Bluetooth verbinden oder einen eigenen USB-Stick einlesen können, um die Titel über den an meine Anlage gekoppelten Mixer abzuspielen. Es kommt gelegentlich vor, dass die Gäste Musikwünsche haben, die ich nicht erfüllen kann - zum Beispiel Balkan-Musik, asiatische Titel oder andere exotische Titel. Darüber hinaus kommt es oft vor, dass Hochzeitssänger oder andere Musiker keine eigene Anlage haben und sich bei mir einstöpseln müssen. Da ich eine sehr teuere Anlage benutze, habe ich immer etwas Sorge, dass die verbundenen Fremdgeräte bei einem Defekt meinen Hauptmischer zerstören. Mit dem zwischengeschalteten PowerDynamics-Mischer kann im schlimmsten Falle nur dieser kaputt gehen. Auch kommt es immer gut an, wenn Gäste und/oder Sänger etwas "eigenes" haben und mich nicht für jede Kleinigkeit ansprechen müssen. Prima ist vor allem der kombinierbare Tonlauf von Bluetooth-/USB-Einheit und den Mikrofoneingängen. So kann notfalls auch eine spontane Karaokeparty problemlos starten. Zum Mischer: Die Verstärkersektion des Mixers habe ich nicht ausprobiert, daher kann ich dazu nichts sagen. Was mir an dem gerät besonders gefällt, ist die klar und einfach strukturierte Bedieneinheit, die nicht so überladen ist wie bei Standard-Mischpulten. Gut - dafür können die etwas mehr. Nur zumindest für meine Zwecke vermisse ich hier nichts. Was mir auch gut gefällt (und das ist der Grund, warum es nicht der etwas günstigere Zwillingsbruder von Pronomic geworden ist): Der Cinch-Ausgang und ein Audio-Eingang sind auf der Rückseite angebracht, da wo besonders das Kabel, welches zur Verstärkeranlage geht nicht stört. Dann hat der powerDynamics Mischer zusätzlich zu den Klinkenausgängen für die Lautsprecher zusätzliche Speakon-Ausgänge, womit man die meisten PA-Lautsprecher ohne irgendwelche Adapter anklemmen kann. Den oft bemängelten "lauten" Lüfter habe ich jetzt nicht bzw. nicht als zu laut empfunden aber das ist wahrscheinlich Geschmackssache. Der Klang ist gerade noch brauchbar. Dazu kommt, dass der Stereo-Effekt irgendwie nicht besonders gut präsent ist (klingt etwas nach Mono). Die Bluetooth-Einheit verbindet schnell und zuverlässig, die Verbindung ist auch erst abgerissen, als ich beim Testen in meiner Wohnung in einen Nebenraum gegangen bin. Also aucb okay. Erfreulich ist die Titelanzeige am USB-Leser, nicht unbedingt selbstverständlich. Lediglich die Drehregler sind allesamt etwas wakelig unterwegs. Was ich nicht zwangsläufig vermisse aber ein Nice-to-have wäre ist eine schaltbare Phantomspeisung. Und der Filzüberzug am Gehäuse könnte in Event-Umgebungen schnell verschmutzen. Abgesehen von der reduzierten Tonqualität und den wackeligen Potis (die leider zwei Punkte kosten) ist der PowerDynamics-Mixer ein vielseitig einsetzbarer und sehr stabil gebauter Begleiter. Vor allem ist der aufgerufene Preis von aktuell etwa 170 Euro für ein solches Gerät wirklich nicht viel.

Since I use a very expensive system, I'm always a little concerned that the connected third-party devices will destroy my main mixer in the event of a defect. In the worst case, with the PowerDynamics mixer connected in between, only this one can break. It's always good when guests and/or singers have something "of their own" and don't have to contact me about every little thing. Above all, the combinable sound path of the Bluetooth/USB unit and the microphone inputs is great. If necessary, a spontaneous karaoke party can start without any problems. Regarding the mixer: I haven't tried the amplifier section of the mixer, so I can't comment on that. What I particularly like about the device is the clearly and simply structured control unit, which is not as overloaded as with standard mixers. Good - but they can do a little more. At least for my purposes I don't miss anything here. What I also like (and that's the reason why it didn't become Pronomic's slightly cheaper twin brother): The cinch output and an audio input are on the back, where the cable that goes to the amplifier system is particularly important does not bother. Then the powerDynamics mixer has additional Speakon outputs in addition to the jack outputs for the loudspeakers, with which you can connect most PA loudspeakers without any adapters. I didn't find the often criticized "loud" fan to be too loud, but that's probably a matter of taste. The sound is just usable. In addition, the stereo effect is somehow not particularly well present (sounds a bit like mono). The Bluetooth unit connects quickly and reliably, and the connection only broke when I went into an adjoining room while testing. So ok too. The title display on the USB reader is pleasing, but not necessarily a matter of course. Only the knobs are all a bit wobbly. What I don't necessarily miss but would be nice to have is switchable phantom power. And the felt cover on the case could quickly get dirty in event environments. Apart from the reduced sound quality and the wobbly pots (which unfortunately cost two points), the PowerDynamics mixer is a versatile and very stable companion. Above all, the asking price of currently around 170 euros is really not much for such a device.

Macht genau was es soll und für den Preis echt super. Jetzt hoffe ich nur das es auch hält.

Gutes Gerät für den Preis. Ja, der Lüfter läuft immer. Stört mich nicht. Ist für eine Micro Anlage für Open Air Gottesdienste. Da reicht es völlig. Man sollte nicht zu hohe Ansprüche bei dem Preis haben. Die Bedienungsanleitung ist allerdings recht dürftig. Es werden nur die Anschlüsse benannt aber nicht beschrieben was man mit machen kann. Auch wofür diese Minifernbedienung zu gebrauchen ist, kein Wort.

However, the instruction manual is quite poor. Only the connections are named but not described what you can do with them. There is also no word on what this mini remote control can be used for.

Gabe den Artikel erhalten war auch alles Top bis auf ein Defektes Zubehör teil. Habe es Reklamiert und bekam innerhalb von 3 tagen ein ersatzteil. Kundenservice sehr freundlich und Kompetent.

Was ich persönlich vermisse sind Lautsprecheranschlüsse für stinknormale Lautsprecherkabel. Weiterhin nervt der Lüfter. Es ist nicht zu verstehen, wieso das Teil ständig läuft- auch ohne Leistungsabgabe. Warum sind die Eingangsanschlüsse nicht auf der Rückseite? Man muss immer zwischen den Steckern "durchgreifen". Insgesamt nicht der große Brüller.

What I personally miss are speaker connections for perfectly normal speaker cables. The fan is also annoying. It is incomprehensible why the part runs constantly - even without power output. Why aren't the input connectors on the back panel? You always have to "reach through" between the plugs. Overall not the big screamer.
