This has to be the best ice cream maker on the market. Not easy to find, so if it's available on Amazon, snap it up. It is important to know that this machine has its fridge/freezer within the machine; you do not have to remove a bowl and place it in the freezer for hours beforehand. Using it for the first time did not disappoint. We used Kerrymaid mix, which was great. It has its own timer, and it took 40 minutes to mix the ice cream, and it turned out perfectly. It is such great value for money compared to others. But best of all, IT IS EASY TO CLEAN. I was worried that I would have great ice cream but then have loads of bits and pieces to clean and put back together, but it cleans itself perfectly, with just one part that needs a little extra cleaning. This is a heavy appliance and of high quality throughout. The grandchildren loved it, as did the adults. It makes enough ice cream in 40 minutes for approximately 6 servings. I think I've covered everything LOL

Great machine. Came a week earlier than expected. Fits under my kitchen wall cabinets. Looks lovely and really great quality. It says the machine is set at 40 mins prep but mines 50 mins. Fits lot of liquid I bought took about 1hr 45 mins. It didcwork but wasn't as firm as I would like. I then tried a creamier brand / better quality / more expensive and it whipped up and stood up in the 50 mins. So don't buy a more economical brand brand, spend a little more as u will save on the time it mixes. It cost less than a £1 in electricity to make the ice cream. Its easy to set up and really easy to clean. I highly recommend it. It was on offer at the time I purchased it so I got a good deal. Love it

I ordered this Klarstein German brand ice cream machine via Amazon, which was shipped from Europe and I was able to track it easily. It arrived earlier than expected, which was fab. The machine is very easy to use. It is quite large, too tall to go under a kitchen cabinet (you need access to the top to pour the ice cream liquid into the machine). It’s heavy too, due to the built in refrigerant, so put it where you want to use it and let it settle for a few hours, like you would any fridge/freezer that’s new. The instructions are simple, just wash the drum before use and attach the handle. There’s no pre freezing required, like my Sage ice cream maker, just pour in your ice cream mix through the top and set the time and press start button, it freezes as it churns, the time counts down on the lit LED screen. Just pull down the handle and soft Mr Whippy style ice cream will come out. When I first tried it, my greedy hubby ate 2 decent sized cones. I’ve purchased the ready mixed cartons of ice cream mix on Amazon, the machine takes just under a litre. There’s also powdered mixes, just add milk, or you can make your own using Emlea double, a can of condensed milk and a little milk with vanilla extract, or whatever flavour you like. When making ice cream, always make sure it’s very sweet as it will taste much less sweet when frozen. It self cleans using water poured into the drum, it can then be emptied in a jug at the front, but I found, taking off the front and removing the drum to hand wash in a little soapy water then drying it was better. It comes with a cleaning brush and funnel.I can’t wait for my grandchildren to visit to try it out. Happy to recommend, especially when on offer.

I bought this machine on a whim, mid winter, craving mr whippy. It did take a while longer to arrive than stated, as it’s actually shipped from Germany, so I was worried that I’d be hit with a duty invoice, but luckily I haven’t (so far, will update if I receive one!)The machine itself seems very well made. It’s reasonably heavy, sturdy and stable. The operating volume is quieter than I expected, comparable to a bread maker, loudish, but not annoyingly so. The kids thought it was hilarious when I put ice cream van music on YouTube :)The instructions do leave something to be desired, the cleaning cycle instructions aren’t very clear, but it is very simple to wipe out with a soapy sponge and rinse through.Most importantly, it makes ice cream perfectly, as you can see in my photo. I used the premade soft ice cream cartons. The star nozzle/washer does leak however, but not massively, and I’m sure I’ll be able to find a thicker washer. Any drips are caught by the drip tray anyway.So it was a big hit with my kids and other family members, and we’ve made a little ice cream factory with sauces and sprinkles. Now I’m on the hunt for the perfect ice cream mix!Edit to add. The silicone sleeve on the handle plunger has a tiny hole in it, which has been letting ice cream into the inside of the unit. I managed to take it all apart and it was absolutely disgusting in there. The seller has told me this isn’t a part they can replace, so I’m waiting to hear if they’ll exchange the whole machine for me
