Das Igelhaus habe ich vor anderthalb Jahren gekauft. Die Teile fand ich als gut gearbeitet und ich konnte das Haus relativ leicht montieren. Ich habe es unter einer Überdachung aufgestellt, so dass es nur wenig der Witterung ausgesetzt war. Dennoch hat sich dass Dach im Laufe der Zeit so weit gekrümmt, dass die gerade gebliebenen Führungsleisten die Tackernadeln aus dem Holz gezogen haben. Das Haus besitzt keine Rattenklappe. Daher habe ich selbst eine einfache Klappe nachgerüstet. Leider musste ich erleben, dass sich Waschbären so weit in den Eingang hineinschieben können, dass sie in der Lage sind, Igelfutter mit den Vorderpfoten zu greifen. Inzwischen habe ich selbst ein neues Haus gebaut. Insgesamt erfüllt aber dieses Modell gut seinen Zweck, wenn es halbwegs wettergeschützt in einer Gegend eingesetzt wird, die frei von Waschbären ist.

I bought the hedgehog house a year and a half ago. I found the parts to be well made and I was able to assemble the house relatively easily. I placed it under a canopy so that it had little exposure to the elements. Nevertheless, the roof has warped so much over time that the guide rails that remained straight have pulled the tacker needles out of the wood. The house does not have a rat flap. So I retrofitted a simple flap myself. Unfortunately I had to experience that raccoons can push themselves so far into the entrance that they are able to grab hedgehog food with their front paws. I've now built a new house myself. Overall, however, this model serves its purpose well if it is used in a reasonably weather-protected area that is free of raccoons.

De grande taille, facile à monter elle est tout à fait comme je l'avais imaginée. Attention à ne pas visser trop fort toutefois pour ne pas fissurer les plaques. J'ai placé des feuilles mortes et une vache qui rit chaque soir et mon locataire est arrivé en moins d'une semaine :))

The bottom plate was slightly bent. However, it could be adjusted when screwing. Construction was easy. I will put a better protection on the roof though. Possibly a solid square plastic pane so that it is better protected from rain all around. Because it is set up at the edge of the forest and should be able to serve as a place to sleep there for a long time.

Okay, with a few minor flaws. The base plate was slightly warped, but this was easily corrected while screwing it together. Assembly was easy. However, I will add better protection to the roof, perhaps a solid square plastic sheet to better protect it from rain all around. It will be set up at the edge of the woods and is intended to serve as a long-term sleeping spot.

Besonders der innere Durchgang sieht aus wie vom Werkunterricht 1ste Klasse. Der Funktion schadet es aber nicht. Pfeift höchstens bisschen mehr

The cottage was cut so crooked that it is not exactly a feast for the eyes. I was able to screw it together without reworking, but something else is nice. The inner passage in particular looks like something from the 1st class handicraft class. But it doesn't affect the function. Whistles a little more at most

Hätte ehrlich gesagt nicht gedacht dass alles so gut zusammen passt. Löcher vorgebohrt, Schrauben passen und einfach zusammen zu bauen. Habe es aber nochmal gestrichen um die Lebensdauer ein wenig zu verlängern.

To be honest, I didn't think that everything would fit together so well. Holes pre-drilled, screws fit and easy to put together. But I painted it again to extend the life a little.

Eigentlich ist das Haus sehr schön und einfach aufzubauen. Leider ist die Verarbeitung aber minderwertig - nicht bündige Teile, schlecht verklebt. Ich hoffe, es hält einigermaßen lange, schließlich wird es ja draußen verwendet. Nochmal würde ich es aber nicht kaufen.

Actually, the house is very nice and easy to build. Unfortunately, the workmanship is inferior - parts that are not flush, poorly glued. I hope it lasts reasonably long, after all it is used outside. But I wouldn't buy it again.

It is ideal for feeding hedgehogs because no cats can get to the food. They cannot snake their way through the two chambers. The hedgehog is small enough and has no problems with it. I scatter sawdust around the house, it makes it easier to clean. Hedgehogs are not very clean eaters.

Das Igelhaus sieht süß aus, leider ist der Boden komplett durchgebrochen im Paket bei uns angekommen. Die Lieferung ging dagegen sehr schnell. Es ist aber sehr ärgerlich, dass es kaputt angekommen ist.

Da das Holz bis auf das mit grüner Dachpappe gelegte Dach aus unbehandeltem Nadelholz besteht, habe ich die Holzteile nach dem Zusammenbau nur von außen noch mit einem Klarlack auf Acrylbasis nachbehandelt um die Wetterfestigkeit noch weiter zu erhöhen. Unter den Boden werde ich noch 2 Holzleisten schrauben, damit der Boden des Hauses nicht direkt auf dem Erdboden steht. Das schmälert die Qualität des gelieferten Bausatzes für das Haus aber keineswegs. Preis-/Leistung stimmt.

Very solid quality. The hedgehog house impresses with the solid quality of its wooden parts. Assembling the nearly perfectly fitting wooden pieces with the included screws was very easy and quick thanks to the pre-drilled holes. Since the wood, apart from the roof covered with green roofing felt, consists of untreated softwood, I only treated the exterior of the wooden parts with a clear acrylic varnish after assembly to further increase their weather resistance. I will screw two wooden strips under the floor so that the base of the house doesn't sit directly on the ground. This in no way diminishes the quality of the delivered kit. The price-performance ratio is excellent.

So schnell hatte ich noch nie einen Bausatz zusammengebaut und ich hatte schon einige Hütten montiert. Es hat alles gepasst, war sauber zugeschnitten und gebohrt, die Hütte steht, nun muß der Igel die nur noch benutzen, bis jetzt geht es in unser Katzenhaus. Vielen Dank

Un hérisson a adopté la maison dès le premier jour. Penser à mettre plusieurs couches de papier journal et beaucoup de paille (il creusera un tunnel à sa façon), ainsi que quelques dalles très fines entre la terre et la maison (meilleure conservation du bois). J'ai également rajouté un morceau de nappe en plastique, sur le toit, afin de les protéger des intempéries. La maison a été assemblée par un ami menuisier. Je ne peux vous renseigner au niveau de la facilité du montage. Ils sont bien protégés des prédateurs, je rajouterai un voile de moustiquaire (devant la porte) pour éviter les mouches, cela peut être fatal si elles pondent des oeufs. Beau design. Je me demande cependant si les gros hérissons entrent, cela pourrait être étroit. Celui du jardin est de taille moyenne, cela semble convenir. Prévoir, peut être, un abri plus grand pour les gros hérissons avec toujours ce système de tunnel protecteur.

A hedgehog adopted the house from the first day. Remember to put several layers of newspaper and lots of straw (it will dig a tunnel in its own way), as well as a few very thin slabs between the earth and the house (better preservation of the wood). I also added a piece of plastic sheeting on the roof to protect them from the elements. The house was assembled by a carpenter friend. I can't tell you how easy it is to assemble. They are well protected from predators, I will add a mosquito net (in front of the door) to keep out flies, this can be fatal if they lay eggs. Beautiful design. I wonder though if the big hedgehogs get in, it could be narrow. The one in the garden is medium sized, it seems suitable. Perhaps plan a larger shelter for the big hedgehogs with the same protective tunnel system.

According to the instructions, you're supposed to weigh the roof down with a stone or something similar to prevent animals from getting to it. We'll see if our gardening friend likes it, but even if he doesn't, the investment was reasonable.

Wir haben drei dieser Igelhäuser gekauft. Sie wurden sehr schnell geliefert und waren in einem sehr guten Zustand. Die Montage funktioniert einfach und schnell. Die Igel werden sich sehr wohl fühlen. Das gute ist, dass diese Häuser die so wichtige Trennwand haben, die vor ungewünschten Gästen schützt.

We bought three of these hedgehog houses. They were delivered very quickly and were in very good condition. The assembly is quick and easy. The hedgehogs will feel very comfortable. The good thing is that these houses have the all-important partition that protects against unwanted guests.

Das Igelhaus habe ich im Garten in einer geschützten Ecke platziert. Leider konnte ich vom Fenster bisher noch keine Igelbesuche beobachten, wenngleich die Sicht durch die Büsche auch etwas beschränkt ist. Das Igelhaus fügt sich in jedem Fall sehr gut in den Garten ein - über die weitere Entwicklungen und etwaige Igelbesuche werde ich durch ein Update berichten.

Easy assembly! A real eye-catcher! I've placed the hedgehog house in a sheltered corner of the garden. Unfortunately, I haven't yet seen any hedgehogs visiting from the window, although the view is somewhat obstructed by the bushes. The hedgehog house blends in very well with the garden – I'll post an update about further developments and any hedgehog visits.
