Hi-fi Speakers for sale at the Best Price on HiFi Tower
High fidelity, or hi-fi speakers, is a term used to describe home loudspeakers with high audio quality and reproduction. The traditional look of hi-fi speakers is a pair of 3-way, 4-way, or 5-way floor standing speakers. A couple of stylish floor standing speakers in your living room will impress your friends and family. They’ll be impressed by the sound, too!
A more compact option are bookshelf speakers, but they are smaller and don’t have the full range of sound offered by larger tower speakers. Hi-fi speakers used to be the realm of wealthy audiophiles, but today’s market means they are now accessible to nearly everyone who enjoys music and entertainment. Even floor standing speakers with their impressive, tower speaker design, have become affordable to have in everyone’s living room. Most of these are passive PA speakers, meaning that they need an amplifier to allow them to function. Be smart and shop around before committing to buy a new set of hi-fi speakers.
Floor standing speakers are one of the most important purchases that can be made for a stereo system or as part of a set of home cinema systems. When needing to power multiple hi-fi speakers, take a look at surround sound amplifiers to meet this requirement. You’ll need to be careful to properly match the power ratings of all equipment to be used together so that you can avoid your equipment being damaged. A hi-fi speaker can be bought on its own, or more commonly, as a hi-fi speaker pair. The only limit is the space you have and your budget. Be sure to compare prices on the high street, along with doing some online comparison shopping, to ensure that you get the best buy out there.

Enhance your sound instantly, with our hi-fi speakers
With the rapid advancement of sound technology, many have high-quality reproduction devices generating powerful, clean sound. However, old speakers are often no longer able to keep up with new audio players. Sometimes, when you're at a friend's house and music is being played, you may realise that the sound is much better than yours, even though your player is newer and has better features. What happens then? The problem could be the speakers you use. If you have changed your CD player, record player or radio recorder but are still using your old speakers, they may no longer live up to the new sound technology, they may have some minor malfunctions or signs of wear, or they may simply not be fully compatible with your new hi fi system.

What are the main types of hi-fi speakers? A quick overview
In the field of sound and high-fidelity equipment, speakers play a key role, but not all speakers perform the same functions, and much depends on the needs of each user. Why do we say this? Because not all music sounds good from all speakers. Remember that there are at least three basic types of speaker systems.
First, you have the so-called tweeters, which reproduce the highest frequencies, and they are usually smaller in size. Midrange speakers, as their very name suggests, are responsible for reproducing the mid frequencies. Then you have the so-called woofers, which are responsible for reproducing the low frequencies. There is a different type called subwoofer, designed to reproduce the frequencies below the bass, typically in the range between 40 and 100 Herz, which is mounted on certain types of loudspeakers or installed on a separate cabinet.
We have referred to the user's needs because we think it is appropriate to ask ourselves: what kind of music do I listen to regularly? Are low or high sounds predominant? These simple questions can help you understand what kind of hi-fi speakers you are looking for. Regardless of whether you are looking for cheaper or cheaper hi-fi loudspeakers, as well as taking price into account, there are some features that you should carefully check out in the specifications before buying.
- Power
This is an essential feature. In audio reproduction, power is measured in watts, so the more watts your hi-fi speakers have, the more sound power they will be able to generate. Higher power speakers usually have a better sound quality, especially if your sound system has sufficient and proportional power. Also, many users recommend using speakers in stereo mode, as most records and audio equipment on the market today are designed to play in stereo. On the other hand, on the frequency range, an ideal hi-fi system should be able to reach as low as 20 Hz and up to 20000 Hz, as this frequency range roughly corresponds to the perception range of the sound frequency of the human ear. - Design
Choose loudspeakers that fit the space where they will be placed and used. On HiFi-Tower you will find floor standing speakers, with a distinctly vertical profile, and bookshelf speakers with a smaller size, easy to be placed on shelves, pieces of furniture and any space other than the floor. Some loudspeakers are designed to be mounted on the wall or ceiling. Tower speakers are the largest and generally sound very good. Finally, you can buy outdoor PA speakers with a waterproof cover and finish protecting them from the atmospheric agents.
How to install your hi-fi speakers
Installing hi-fi speakers, receivers, amplifiers or home entertainment systems may seem complex if you have no prior experience. Still, despite the myriad of connections and the risk of tangling cables, this is not as complicated as you might fear. Even if you just have a basic knowledge of home audio equipment, installing new speakers can be done in no time. Before you start, it is a good idea to position the speakers correctly, as this may or may not involve moving other devices. Once everything is ready, it is time to connect the speakers, and to avoid accidental damage to your computer, be sure to turn off all devices before connecting or disconnecting cables.
Choose your cable and connection type. Speakers are commonly connected using a speaker cable, RCA, 3.5mm auxiliary cable or digital optical cable. Whatever output option you choose for your speakers, make sure that the same type of input ports are available on the receiver or amplifier you are connecting them to.
Measure distances: although the cables supplied by the manufacturer are usually ok, in certain situations they may not be long enough for your needs. Determine how and where the cables will run from the speakers to the target device. In most cases, cables are laid on the floor along the sockets to keep them out of sight and to avoid being stepped on and tangled. Measure the distance the cables must travel and compare it to the distance you have at hand. It is always a good idea to leave them a little loose.
Make sure you connect the wires correctly. If you intend to use a 3.5mm cable, this recommendation does not apply, and you will only need to connect the cable to the power supply and receiver. However, RCA cables or speaker wires have ends marked for left and right audio channels. When using a speaker cable, you will notice that the input and output terminals are marked as negative (-) and positive (+), often black for negative and white or red for positive. The same applies to RCA cables which should also have their ends marked for left and right audio channels. RCA cables and connectors are labelled L (left) and R (right), marked white and red respectively.
Plug everything, ensuring that the connections are secure. Speaker cables are generally supplied with stripped ends to connect to a small spring, small spring-loaded plug connectors, stripped wire clamps, fork connector or a banana jacks. When using RCA cables, just connect the male end of the to the female connector on the rear part of your device. Make sure that the left and right channels are correctly matched - the positive terminal on the receiver must be connected to the positive terminal on the speaker for both the left and right channels. Phase correction of the speaker is essential to get the best possible sound. It is a common mistake not to have cables connected in the same way on both components, as you will certainly perceive a loss of sound quality.
Turn on and test your speakers. Now that you have everything connected, it's finally time to turn everything on and test your speakers. If nothing happens, or if something doesn't seem to work properly, try to find out why the system doesn't make any sound. Otherwise, it's finally time to relax and enjoy your new speakers.
