If you're looking for an ice maker, this one is the best. Honestly, it's not the first one I've owned, but this one is truly fantastic.

Bisher hatte ich eine Maschine die diese tropfenartigen Eiswürfel herstellt, da diese aber langsam ihren Dienst quittiert hatte, musste ich mich nach einer neuen Maschine umsehen, und diesmal wollte ich eine, die richtige und klare Würfel produziert. Und was soll ich sagen, das tut sie auch. Die Eiswürfel werden in einem Tray produziert und fallen dann in den Auffangbehälter. Die Tafel bleibt dabei ganz, man kann sie dann entweder mit der Eisschaufel zerstückeln, oder so wie ich, die ganze Tafel in eine Plastiktüte geben und einfrieren. Vorm einfrieren die Tüte (oder Sackerl, wie wir in Österreich sagen) einfach auf die Arbeitsplatte aufschlagen und schon sind sie zerteilt. Im Getränk schauen sie dann viel schöner aus als die Zapfeneiswürfel und halten gefühlt auch länger.Einen Stern Abzug gibt es aber weil die Maschine doch sehr schwer und globig ist. Auch die Lautstärke ist um einiges lauter als meine alte Maschine und die Reinigung ist auch etwas komplizierter.Aber mit den Eiswürfeln selbst bin ich sehr zufrieden. Jetzt bleibt nur abzuwarten wie lange sie hält.

Previously, I had a machine that made those teardrop-shaped ice cubes, but since it was slowly giving up the ghost, I had to look for a new one, and this time I wanted one that produced proper, clear cubes. And what can I say? It does just that. The ice cubes are produced in a tray and then fall into the collection container. The block of ice remains intact; you can then either break it up with an ice scoop, or, like me, put the whole block in a plastic bag and freeze it. Before freezing, simply tap the bag (or "Sackerl," as we say in Austria) on the countertop, and the ice cubes will break up. They look much nicer in drinks than the cone-shaped ice cubes and seem to last longer, too. I'm deducting one star, however, because the machine is quite heavy and bulky. It's also considerably louder than my old machine, and cleaning it is a bit more complicated. But I'm very happy with the ice cubes themselves. Now we just have to wait and see how long it lasts.

On obtient une centaine de glaçons pleins en une heure environ... Le seul inconvénient si on peut dire, c'est qu'ils restent attachés ensemble comme une tablette de chocolat, mais en glaçons... Il faut juste les décoller à la main

You get about a hundred solid ice cubes in an hour... The only downside, if you can call it that, is that they stick together like a chocolate bar, but in ice cube form... You just have to separate them by hand

Fa perfettamente il suo dovere.Il primo ciclo è leggermente più lento perché deve prima raffreddare l'acqua, ma dopo, ogni 15-17 minuti stampa un wafer da 32 cubetti di ghiaccio. L'importante è ricordarsi di aggiungere acqua al serbatoio man mano che produce. Mi sto chiedendo perché non l'ho comprata prima.

It does its job perfectly. The first cycle is slightly slower because it has to cool the water first, but after that, every 15-17 minutes it makes a wafer of 32 ice cubes. The important thing is to remember to add water to the tank as it produces. I'm wondering why I didn't buy it sooner.

Funciona perfectamente. Quizás debería de hacer los cubitos enteros sin el hueco que tiene por uno de los lados. Pero en general, mu bien.

It works perfectly. Perhaps they should make the cubes whole without the hole on one side. But overall, very good.
